Codes go away when tranny is cold. When starting first thing in am, runs fine until tranny has warmed up. sometimes works fine all day. Just found out solenoid is leaking hence low tranny fluid at times. gonna check transmission cooler and add fluid and live with problem i guess

What causes codes 700 and 740 to set on a 2005 dodge grand caravan?

P0700 is just the powertrain control module being signed to turn the check engine light on to indicate alert you to a transmission issue. As far as the other one goes you likely have a failed Torque converter clutch so the solenoid would not fix the problem. You will need to remove the transmission and replace the TC

Can I replace the transmission solonoid on a 98 Town and Country Van without resetting the computer?

It depends. Are there codes in the computer now? Has it bee reset since you replaced the input speed sensor? If the codes are still in there, the transmission may still be in limp-in mode.

Your transmission is computer controlled. Trying to diagnose or repair it without the ability to interface with the computer that controls it about the same as surfing the internet with no monitor. If you push the right buttons and click your mouse just right, you might get to the page you are looking for (not likely, but possible). However, when you do get there, you still won't know it....

Im having a P0700 On my Ob2 scanner on my 2002 dodge intrepid se 2.7 liter Vin "R" 167 ... anyway thats my motor specs i went to the dodge dealer and they estimated 1300 dollars to change the...

To fix the problem you need to drop the pan on the bottom of the transmission. From there you need an experienced person to look things over and perform a few tests. p0700, have a good day !! may be a good transmission shop is cheaper then the dealer.

Wut is a po700 code on a 2004 doge intreped and how do i fix it

The codes mean P0700 Transmission control system malfunction. Unless you've had an automatic transmission apart before I don't recommend it to do it yourselfers. Better to get a professional opinion and avoid really messing it up. That solenoid is part of the valve body and replacing the valve body requires special tools and a bit of expertise. good luck,

P0700, P0750 and P0755 codes I was driving at 65 mph and the 2003 Dodge Caravan down shifter to low gear and the check engine light came on. It will not ship to high gear.

P0700 (M)
Check Transmission DTC's
This code indicates that the EATX (Transmission controller) has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a BUS message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via a DRBIII tool. (Input or Output Speed Sensor failures often cause this code and are a common failure part on WJ Grand Cherokees

P0750
Shift Solenoid circuit.
Note: If code P1767 (Transmission Relay Always On) is also present: Replace transmission solenoid assembly. See note provided. When transmission is in limp mode the relay that provides power to the solenoid group is switched off. This is normal and is designed to provide operation in one gear only. Engineering department suggests to replace transmission solenoid assembly anytime these two trouble codes occur together. See applicable service manual section (21) for solenoid assembly replacement directions. IMPORTANT: When performing this repair always check torque on all valvebody accumulator cover plate screws. Proper torque specification is 70 inch pounds. If any accumulator cover plate screws are damaged or missing replace the valvebody assembly. NOTE: If any other trouble codes are present do not replace solenoid assembly. See test in the applicable Transmission Diagnostic Procedures Manual

202 Neon stuck in first gear

This problem is associated with an error of P0700. The p0700 DTC in the PCM is just to refer you to check for DTC's in the TCM ( transmission control module ), since it is not emissions related you will have to see if your diagnostic tool can access the TCM. if not you'll likely have to go to a dealer. When the TCM registers a failure it goes into limp- in mode, if your car still functions it is not the output speed sensor, without knowing the DTC the input sensor is just a guess, it is a cheap sensor and fairly common to fail. This 1st gear stuck issue can also be related to Solenoid. This may have damaged the Cables. Thank you Sir, Have a nice Day.

2002 Dodge Intrepid transmission not shifting

Flush out your transmission with the correct type fluid, Mopar ATF+4, and correct filter. Disconnect Negative cable, to reset computer, for at least 24 hours. Check grounding straps for PCM, ensure they are tight and clean.
This method worked on my 2003 Intrepid SE, 3.5L, Police Pkg car.
Good Luck!!
