2007 ford fusion PCM location

I know this is an old post but may help others

The PCM in my 2006 Ford Fusion is below the battery against the firewall.

You will need to remove the bracket holding the battery, the battery, and the tray that the battery rests on.

The PCM is held to the firewall with 4 bolts and I believe they are 10mm. Remove plugs and unbolt.

I forgot to disconnect battery before replacing my alternator in my chevy truck

The large red wire going from the alternator to the battery is actually a fuseable link. It has a section that is designed to melt just like a large fuse. The section is thicker than the rest of the wire.
You can buy a replacement section, but it may need to be soldered in place to carry the amperage. You may also be able to use a maxi-fuse in place of the fuseable link.

My radiator fan runs right when I turn the ignition on in the morning. I had this problem was before and I corrected it when I changed out the computer module located in the passenger front wheel well....

if you have changed or added a chip to increase the horse power, or upgraded the system, yes you need to have that rest , if the battery gets low or dies, it will revert back to the default settings that were set up for that vehicle, If you take it to a ford dealer and show them what chip you have inserted , they can make the necessary adjustments

If I replace a Murano battery (not totally dead) do I have to reset the computer as well ? Thank you.

It would be best .....as on all cars made after 2000 to keep voltage in the system when changing the battery.
If you have a battery charger attach it to the alt output connection and place it on it's lowest setting, usually 2 amps.
Now you can change the battery without memory circuits causing problems.
You can also buy a 9volt battery adapter to plug into your accessory power outlet to keep voltage in the system when disconnecting the battery.
Otherwise.....some circuits may require resetting after 0 voltage is present.....the engine computer will relearn it's settings quickly.
