The socket for the headlite switch is bad or burned or deterioted due to heat. What happens that there is no good contact. You will have to replace the socket. The socket may not be available from the dealer. What you can do, just like what I did, check your socket design, go to a ford dealer and they have a book with all socket designs and identify the one you have. Get the manufacturer name and part number. With this information, go to Kragen and they will be able to order the socket for you. You will then have to cut the wires and attach the new socket.

There are 3 wires behind the headlight switch brown+, brown-, and white. All 3 wires are normally clamped together.
I'm not sure what the white does, but when the two brown wires are connected, your parking lights work like they should.
If the brown wire leading from the bundle of cables grounds to the metal switch mount, it will blow your fuse.
If your parking lights don't work, and your rear lights don't come on with the low headlights, these 3 wires could have come undone.

poor ground, check the wire harness, this is the one that comes from front of vehicle to the rear and plugs into the wires that go to the rear lights. trace the wire coming out of the light itself and eventually you will see that it comes to a connector that attaches to the wiring harness.
