95' toyota 4 runner, just had intake gasket replaced. That seemed to be the source of the leak on the back of the engine. Drive for 2 days and it is leaking again but not from the same spot. Can't find out where it is coming from. Is there a hose that runs across the back of the engine somewhere that could be the culprit?

Hello, there is a coolant transfer pipe under the intake manifold, it connects to the front of the block under the manifold and exits at the rear between the heads where two hoses are attached for the heater and one for the throttle body, one of these may be leaking, in some cases the transfer pipe is rusted and starts to leak filling up the chamber between the heads until it leaks out at the back.

SOURCE: water leak under the intake manifold,1995 toyota 4 runner

There is a heater core bypass pipe that runs from the block (under the manifold) to the bacl of theengine where you will see a flat rectangular "sheet metal" thing with a pipe coming out of it. The a rubber hose connects. You need to pull the top air plenums and intake to get to it. The p[ipe flange bolts to the block with silicone rtv as a sealant.

Replaced IAC valve and erratic reving continues

Sounds like the intake manifold gasket. Easy test. Take engine cleaner, or brake cleaner and with truck running, spray directly onto the INTAKE manifold gasket where it bolts onto the engine. If you hear ANY difference in the idle, up or down, gasket is shot. Very common. If idle doesn't change, spray all the vacuum hoses you can, listening for any change in idle. Let me know how you make out, if it's not that, I can suggest more things, but if I were a betting man, I'd bet that the gasket is the problem.Cheers from Nova Scotia

2000 4 runner v6 4x4 is starting to miss fire, i put new plugs in did not help

only other two option are the coils and the injectors'

With engine running unplg one coil at a time feling for the one that does NOT stumble the engine. The one that doesnt is the dead cylinder. Then rotate the coil to another cylinder. If the misfire follows it to coil then the coil is bad. If it doesnt then the injector is bad or clogged. Before replaceing it spray some water on the intake gasket to verify you do not have a leak .near that misfiring cylinder. If you do then the gasket is the problem. You should feel the engine stumble is its leaking

1995 Toyota Camry 4 cyl

Check the vacuum line from the brake booster to the intake for leaks or missing/ loose clamps. If it's all intact, look around the booster (big bowl looking thing on the firewall) for leaking brake fluid. If the booster is leaking, it will have to be replaced.
