Check your battery terminals to be certain they are clean and tight. Terminals that are too loose will not carry enough current to run a large electrical draw such as a starter motor. If that doesn't work, you could have a faulty starter solenoid (replaced as a unit with the starter motor). Not sure what kind of car you have, but security systems can also malfunction and cause no-start conditions. The problem could also be in the ignition module. You would likely need a mechanic to diagnose that. Good luck

SOURCE: Car won't turnover...only a clicking sound when turning ignition

Hi,
A small battery charger may take 24 hours to charge your battery. If you are sure the battery is fully charged then you may want to clean your battery connections.

How can i bypass the alarm/immobiliser on Autowatch 446RLI the car battery died, after charging the car battery the car won't start. it is dead quite when turning the key even thou the dash is lit.

Try getting a friend to boost start your battery with his vehicle and see if your car will crank. If your car cranks over - you have a faulty battery.

Check your battery leads, particularly the black earth lead where it connects to the engine/bodywork.
It's worth pointing out that a failed battery will charge up to a certain extent - however there isn't sufficient power in that battery to crank the engine even though all your dashboard lights are illuminated.
Get somebody to try boost-starting your battery first.

If you're sure that your battery is ok (or if connected to another vehicle): Put your ignition key in and turn it on/off a few times. Leave it in the 'on' position for 2-3 minutes. Give the system time to re-recognise the key

It actually sounds to be battery problem

fuel and fire, charge the battery, turn on ignition and listen for the fuel pump to pressurize the fuel lines. If you ran out of gas you may have fried the fuel pump.

Engine fails to start

What makes you think the battery is charged sufficiently? My guess is that your battery doesn't have enough power to crank the engine (just because all the lights come on doesn't mean the battery is good enough to crank the engine). Try jumpstarting the car, or charging the battery. If your car starts, then your battery is getting old, it's time to replace it.

Wouldn't start...just click...click, then we finally got it jumped. While driving home, no battery power, no lights, then it began to lose power. Now it is dead on hiway 60...please help. I run a no...

Sounds like an alternator problem where the battery is not getting charged sufficiently to keep the vehicle going. If the battery and alternator are replaced at the same time, this is probably a good fix.

Is the battery or charge light on when running? Does it light up when the ignition is turned on but before running? The latter would be normal and the former would mean there is a bad alternator or slipping belt.

Good luck on this repair.

My car won't start it simply keeps clicking when the ignition is turned on, turned on the lights , radio and interior light all was working what is happening

Sounds like you need to replace the battery, the battery can have enough power to run lights, stereo, and other accesories but it takes alot of amperage to power the starter motor, so if that is the case you will hear the starter solenoid clicking but no action from the starter. Good luck. !
