Blown radio fuse on 02 passat

when u are looking at the relay panel below the dash look at the bottom of it and where the carpet meets the panel there is 2 fuses, one fuse runs the monsoon system if equipped the other runs the windows.

IS IT AN ORIGINAL RADIO?IF SO U FIRST NEED RO CHECK THE CONNECTIONS BEHIND THE RADIO.SECOND NEED TO CHECK IF RADIO IS CORRECTLY CODED.IF NOT U SHOULD CODE IT CORRECTLY.LET ME KNOW.

Yes it can be Amp problem,but there are many other possibilities like loose connection,radio wires getting short.

I need just a bit more information. You mentioned a phone mode? I am not familiar with this, can you explain. Is this a monsoon stereo system? do you have the keys to pull out the stereo?

Passats can be reset if the radio is pulled out and the fuse on the back is removed. Wait for 2 mins, reinsert the fuse and turn the radio on. If this doesn't work, please take it to the dealer for the unlocking of the code, for which he may charge you some fee.

there are adaptors that go between antenna and radio that ipods will disrupt the signal and work that way

I would certainly do that especially if it's an aftermarket radio which usually have it's own fuse. Let me know.

Buy the removal keys from eBay or have a car stereo shop loan you the keys.

Check eBay...you need a double-din Monsoon Radio...make sure it comes with a code to unlock it.
