Do they work when the ac is on? They don't come on until car reaches 225 degrees with the ac off.Do they work when the ac is on? They don't come on until car reaches 225 degrees with the ac off.

Coolant temperature sensor, not the gauge sensor, plug looks like a half circle with 2 pins inside,i think the wires that plug in it is 1 yellow wire and 1 black wire...1 fan is for the air conditioning.

no information generic answer -horn check for problem in the steering wheel -----fan -check and test cooling sensor if radiator fan--inside evap fan --check and test control - fan connections ,wiring and components
yes it does, check the relays to the fans, and also the fuses, they should be in the under the hood fuse box, once you determine that the fans work ( turn on the ac and see if it starts it should ) you can move that relay to the normal fan relay spot, ( if you have 2 fans ) if your car still over heats after knowing the fans are working,, check the thermostat
There are relays for both fans under the hood. There is also a fuse box under the hood, and a fuse box under the steering wheel to the right side. The fans are controlled by a temperature switch located on the radiator as well. Check all of these items. The box with the realys says "fan relays" on the cover. THe main fuse box under the hood is also labeled. Everything is labled as to what it is. If fuses and relays are okay, check that temp switch. if the fans do not realize that the car is hot, then they will never turn on.
Radiator cooling fan 2, control system malfunction. Check fuses under hood & in fuse panel under dash. If all are good check for power & ground to radiator fan motors. Verify motors work by powering up with jumper wires. If they work may have bad relay. If they dont work will need to replace motor.
mist likely you had the oil changed recently and they knocked off the wire to the sending unit that tells the fan when to come on - the fan only comes on all the time - -when the AC is on or as you state the defrost is on . I hope you have a regular mechanic as he will be a hands on friend if you ask him.
There is a sensor on the radiator that controls a relay to turn the fan
on. There is also a fuse in the fuse panel under the hood. Make sure
the radiator is full.
there are actually 3 temp sensors. 1 is on the top of the engine that goes to temp gauge in dash has 1 wire. next to it is a 3 wire sensor for engine control and choke. on the bottom of the radiator next to the hose is a 2 wire sensor. loosen all 3 but leave connected. get engine hot past halfway point on dash gauge. with ac off disconnect 1 sensor at time. start with 2 wire under radiator. it takes the most abuse. fan will come on when you disconnect broken sensor. 2sensor must agree for fan to stay on till engine cools when turned off. note this is solution i used after verifying fuses, fuseable links and relays worked.WOO HOO! make sure you check both the fuse box under hood and fuse boxleft side of steering wheel my ECU fuse was inside my bros was outside.ECU B on my car goes to nothing and is under hood. Had it confused with ECU on wiring diagram.DOH!
