99 S-10 no start, damp weather?

Greetings, I posted a 99 S-10 starting problem in March concerning damp, moist days when I seem to have no spark, hard start with my truck. Yesterday we had another day with damp conditions and the truck has acted up again. My fuel pressure is around 60 psi, the truck seems to almost start but won't. If I plug in the block heater and let if warm up, this usually helps! Do you think a the coil could be the problem? Thanks for your assistance.

what is the ECT sensor signal when it won't start? Do u have have a full function system scanner? the coil would not be the problem, that would give u a no start all the time.

My 1997 GMC 1500 will not run or start in damp weather I seems to be getting fuel

You need to get some wire dry spray and spray all your wires and the ignition cap etc. You may have some bad wires or you cap has a crack.
Try the spray first see if it starts and runs.

Petrol smell in car

Check all gas lines from your gas tank to the carburetor and see if there are damp spots and if you see any damp spots take your finger and wipe the damp spot and smell. If it smells like gas there probably is a slight leak. even a moist spot of gas will smell big time.
Check all around your gas tank as well. A question i have do you have a clean air filter. If not it might be choking itself to *****.

1994 corolla: hard to start

If it is happening more frequently in cold or damp weather it could be a spark issue. Wet or damp weather can effect spark plug wires if there is even minor damage to them (usually occurs durring rain). The other things that come to mind are the fuel pump and lastly the fuel line check ball that is in the fuel tank. If it is leaking then all the fuel in the line will drain back into the tank over night (pressure lost in the fuel line) and this will cause repeated, extended cranking when you first start the car in the morning or after the car has sat for several hours.

Our 1999 blazer seems to have starting issues only when the weather is wet or damp. 113,000 miles with 4.3ltr engine. It will start if you aggressively pump the accelerator. No other problems starting...

I'd have a free scan at parts store for any trouble codes first , just in case, if no codes come up then I'd consider a new cap & wire set. One of , or the most common problem with hard start in wet/damp weather is plug wires & cap, especially if they haven't been changed that you know of since new.

Starting in damp weather 1993 240 wagon, auto/od, 235k miles

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.

Hard starting in wet weather

Replace the ignition coil under the distributor cap. What you have is a hairline crack in it, and, when it is damp, the spark arcs out of the crack to ground, no spark. This is a VERY common problem with older Camrys. Take the coil off, and look at it real closely. You will see black marks on it, from the crack. I am very sure that this will eliminate your problem.
