Instrument cluster I have a 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada. The dashboard panel is not fully lighting up. I don't see my turn signals, although I do know they work, and the speedometer does not show either. This has been and on/off thing for past couple of weeks. The turn signals on the truck work but I can't see them on the panel. All other indicators work (gas gauge, oil gauge, ABS-which isn't working), therm and battery). The tach and mileage indicators also work.

Do an online search for speedometer repair places. You can get yours rebuilt for a fraction of the price of new or junkyard

SOURCE: 1994 bravada with digital dash fuel gauge not working

Drop the column. On top of the column at approximately 12 o'clock there are two plugs - 1 blk, 1 wht. blk one has 2 wires, 1 red, 1 orange - red is hot from ignition, orange is constant power. make sure the orange is in socket tight and wire is not broken. getting it in tight should fix your problem.

SOURCE: i have an 1983 olds cutlass and the guage cluster

Worn out gauges would be the first guess. The next would be the oil pressure sensor....

The gas gauge could have problems from a bad float in the gas tank or the wires to the sending unit are badly deteriorated.

Speedometer
The speedometer is a road indicator. The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is a permanent magnet generator which is located on the transaxle. The VSS sends an input to the PCM whenever the transaxle differential carrier turns. The PCM then buffers the VSS signal. The PCM transmits the VSS signal to the following components at 4000 pulses/mile through CKT 817:
• The instrument cluster
• The cruise control module
• The radio (uplevel)
The instrument cluster uses the input in order to indicate the vehicle speed on the speedometer.
Instrument Cluster Indicators
The BCM controls the instrument cluster indicators through the SPI serial data communication bus. Refer to Body Control Module System Check in Body Control System.

Instrument cluster

Cold solder joints were a common problem with GMC instrument panels of that time. I've found surface mount resistors just rolling around inside panels with some just plan gone. If so you can get a panel from junk yard remove parts from that & fix yours. Removal & repair is not all that hard.

Instrument panel on 1994 Bravada comes on and off. If you smack the side sometimes it will come on so I know it's not the bulbs. I took off the panel and the connectors are all clean but there's...

BAD GROUND- caused by moisture in cabin- corroding the GROUND terminal /strap/connector. Check the connectors up to the panel? YUP. Tear apart dash. GOOD LUCK!!

I have a fully loaded Trofeo. The dash lights won't work and it doesn't appear to be any fuses. The headlights have the auto sensing for darkness and auto on and I believe the instrument panel lights are...

To the left of the panel there is a little button that will move vertically. push that all the way up, just before it clicks (the click will turn all interior lights on). If that doesn't work there is a fuse in the glove compartment. i don't have my manual on me but there is a cluster that has instrument panel lighting on it. it usually says IP cluster or something. or have a mechanic go into service mode. I could tell you how to do that but it's kind of confusing without showing you

Instrument panel electronic cluster will not light

The power supply within the digital gauge cluster usually goes bad in them. You can either buy a repair kit on ebay or buy a new one

Dashboard Instrument cluster does not work.

there are 2 large terminal plugs with the wiring for all the instruments that are plugged into the back of that panel. make sure they are snug and in place. You reach in and under but it may easier to "simply" remove the cluster. 4 screws hold it in place accessible form underneath and with a long phillips screwdriver and lighting.
