The other day I hoped in my car and tried to start it up to no avail. I turned the key and the car never made a sound, so i held it there for a minute and when i looked down i saw smoke coming from my blinker switch and my wiper switch. I quickly disconnected the battery and the smoke stopped. Now today when I tried again my key wont insert all the way but i still hear beeping from the car. I am stumped and could use help.

By far the most likely reason that one can't turn the key in the ignition is because the car was parked with the wheels turned. There is a security feature that locks the steering when the key is removed to prevent a thief from driving the car.
When the car is parked with the front wheels other than strait, the weight of the car will cause the wheels to try to straiten, If this engages the steering lock pressure is put on the ignition switch.
To start the car, look to see what direction the wheels are pointing. grasp the steering wheel and turn it TOWARD the direction the wheels are turning and now start the car.
Other causes may include wrong key, damaged ignition or other causes that may require a professional.
Put one hand on the steering wheel and rotate slightly left and right alternatively whilst turning the ignition key at the same time with the other hand. This might release the steering wheel and start ignition.
You will have to take the turn signal switch out to see what happened. That means taking the steering wheel off probably. Which requires a large socket. You tap lightly on the nut once loose, while lifting on the wheel, to release the taper. But be sure to disconnect the battery first if you have an air bag in the steering wheel. They are explosive.
Sounds like you blew fuse. Fix fuse and borrow a car starting switch they use at car repair shops. As long as you can turn tumbler to on ,you can start using the starting switch from repair shop..There should be a way to run a start button to start car and your off/on key should be OK

Most likely the steering components are in a bind. I would try and move the steering wheel around while trying to turn the key. You can try to turn the wheel ever so slightly to unbind the wheel and then you should be able to turn the key.
Thank you for your question, and please let me know if I can help with anything else.
Try having someone rock the car frontwards and backwards, while you rock the steering wheel back and forth and try to turn the key - it sounds like you're jammed up hard against the steering column lock.
