1992 Buick regal running with miss

I have a 1992 Buick regal that has been running with miss, changed spark plugs, wires, coil pack and ignition module. Does not stall and starts with no problem. Have checked and noticed that spark is weak on 1,3,and 5 cylinders. Miss gets worst as engine warms up to operating temp. Also replaced fuel pump & filter and fuel pressure was checked and was ok. The car has 150,000 plus miles is reliable vehicle other than this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would do a compression test to see if all cylinders are good, and no internal mechanical damage has occurred.
If compression is good, check for possible intake manifold leak that especially affects the right bank- the bank with 1, 3, and 5 cylinders.
No way I can think of that spark would be different on the right bank, so it could be wrong air/fuel mixture for that side, or possible loss of compression that is causing the misfires.

I had the same problem after it sitting over the winter. I changed the fuel filter and added water remover to my gas and let it sit over night for the water remover to work and the next day it ran fine.

SOURCE: 99 buick regal won't start

Hello, the Regal seems to have that problem. Insert your key in the ignition and turn it but do not turn the car on, make sure you here the fuel pump kick in, then at the end of you r fuel rail there should be a cap, remove it, use a very thin screw driver and push that part in, Be careful it's going to squirt gas, that's a good sign. If it does not, check your fuel filter. And last, if nothing above described works first check your negative wire on your fuel pump, second your injectors, they might be clogged.
Best of luck, God Bless.

It sounds to me like you replaced everything but the most likely cause of a stall while driving...The crank sensor.

Hi,
Chances are this just a random engine misfire caused by bad spark plugs or bad ignition wires. Basically get a tune up and replace the ignition wires (spark plug wires) and your problem should be solved. Have a good day.

1999 buick regal codep0305

Cylinder number 5 is misfiring. Check spark plug, spark plug wire and ignition coil for the number 5 cylinder. The number 5 cylinder is the closest to the front of the car on the drivers side. With engine running in dark (at night) take a spray bottle of water and lightly mist spark plug wires and coil and look for arcing. Autozone will test coil for free.
