Lost power on my jeep liberty 2003 engine power wont go faster then 70 kms/per hour some clunking noise now what could this be also engine light came on

thats correct, may have bad ecm (computer) or bad wire to crank sensor from ecm, also ive run into this problem and it was the new sensor i put in was no good and aftermarket,also cam sensor can do this, and also make sure the 5 volt feed wire is good,good luck hope this helps.
If your engine light came on, the engine module could have stored a code.
You need to have a scanner to check what code it is and that will point you toward the solution.
Possible causes could be (crank sensor, tps sensor or oxygen sensor).
Don't go replacing parts until you scan the vehicle for codes first.
