How do you install a 4x4 control module for a 2004 Ford Explorer.

  • bigocean Mar 06, 2009

I believe the 4x4 control module is under the dash by the passanger side and can be seen by looking down there without removing anything. I think removing the glove box helps with installing the module. But I'm not sure I know what I'm talking about. I'm still looking for an answer to the issue. Thanks...George

Where is ignition control module on 2004 ford explorer

There is no separate IGN module. The function is built into the PCM. The PCM is what controls the IGN coils
