It's mounted in the engine block under the injection pump on the driver side of the engine. It's right up against the power steering pump, above a motor mount.

SOURCE: were is the oil pressure sensor located on a 1992 dodge dakota

It is located behind the breather, on the passenger side of the distributor. If you are having low oil pressure I'll give you a tip. You can change the sensor, but if that doesn't work, then the problem very likely could be that, dodge dakotas are notorious for a buildup of sludge on the screen of the oil pump, which blocks the flow of oil. If you are going to drop the oil pan to address this you may as well put a new oil pump in while you are at it. They are 30-50 dollars. If you can do it yourself, the whole operation should cost less than 100 dollars, if you take it to a garage, you better have a fat wallet.

93 dodge cummins diesel oil pressure gauge low. but no.knocking light not on

Find and look at the sensor. If there is a lot of oil around it, replace the sender unit. Pressure blows right threw the unit into the plug. This can and will throw a low reading. I check the pressure with an external gauge to make sure. 90% of the time it is just a bad sending unit.

Crankshaft position sensor pigtail

If this dodge is fitted with the Cummins engine it will be at the rear of the engine, you will find a hall sensor there that is your crankshaft position sensor. Cummins upgraded an existing engine and could only fit the toothed gear at the rear of the engine to make it practical on the new common rail fuel injection systems.

Engine replacement

any of the non computerized aka 12 valve cummins will interchange going from the p7100 pump on the 94 to the ve injection pump on the 92 may mean rerouting some of the fuel lines to hook it up. make sure you use all the sensors from the 94 engine though so all your gauges read correctly other than the fuel system the engines are identical though so should have no issues doing this

Need diagram of how to locate on the engine of a cummins diesel 5.9 liter intercooled 1992 truck, the engine oil cooler

cooler located on passenger side front. Remove oil filter and find 10-15 10mm bolts. Cooler is sandwiched between filter head plate and the block, two gaskets, not much trouble to fix. Good luck...

Oil Light

I had the same issue. On the back of the engine (behind steering column) you'll see a pressure sensor with a wire going to it...check your connection. If that doesn't work, then your pressure sensor is probably at the end of it's road. You can get a new one for about 15 bucks at any parts store...hope this helps
