2009 town & country lx will not start. radio, gauges, interior lights all work. wont turn over. no sound made at all.

You can check the fuses, but you really need an auto electrician. Their pro grade scan tool computer will diagnose the issue.

remove the belt and see how much play is on the alt pulley sounds like a bearing wearing out.

The easiest and simple should be fixed first . Turn off everything in your vehicle, radio, ac. lights, windshield wipers etc. Put the car in park , turn off the key. Disconnect the battery, wait 5 minutes. Without turning anything on in the car reconnect the battery, leave the car in park and start the car. Allow the car to sit and idle for 10 minutes. This allows the cars computer to reset all gauges and sensors uninterupted. If everything remains off including interior lights etc. the computer will not miss any steps in resetting. This step will also reset your cars idle.

sounds like a main fuse is blown.. nay have a burnt fuse-able link...right off the battery..Hope this helps you???

Check the fuse for those items that don't work.

it mite sound weird but your alternator mite be the prob like the diode on it can be out and it will make your car not start that is why your gauge jump like that so next time your gauge's jump as you try to start it but it just clicks it mite be the alt. hope this will help people out there.

Did this happen after the batt was replaced, the BCM controlls the cluster illumination, radio, evic, might be issue there, there is a software update for this module 2001-2002, if not , only half of lights work, sounds like the rest are burnt out, R+R the cluster and replace the bulbs, get them from Dodge, GOOD LUCK, RDJRP

Sounds way too familiar. In the midst of trying to diagnose my engine fuel pump problem, the dealer replaced the 'SKREEM' module (which is the ignition/security/anti-theft module). This is what disables the starter and fuel pump, if someone pops the ignition switch to steel your car. Mine also required re-programming my remotes to the new module. I was still under warranty, hope yours has an extended. Good luck.
