Ford focus 1.8 zetec, 2000. not bought it yet, wanted advise and cost on repairing them both
Is central locking not working with remote & did you try using key to see if central locking is working at all if working with then its a good chance that key fob is faulty if its not then first need to check fuses & for radio is it going on when switched on display will say code---- if it does then it req code if not then again possibilty a fuse might be on same circuit as your central locking fuse
firstly the central locking since you have not seen car yet check to see if central locking is working with key if it is then you will need new key remote & to be programmed in at ford dealer this would cost you roughly £100. if it doesn't work with key then its possibility that the fuse is blown which is good news unless it keeps blown fuses but there not known for anything else.
secondly for radio you will need to switch on if it switches on & comes up on display CODE---- then radio works you will need security code check service documents if in with pack usually sticker with 4 digit no. if not don't panic i can help you there (possibilty you can get price down oncar for these problems)if it doesn't go on when turning on again possibility that fuse is also blown. it would be hard to put a price on it until you know whats wrong with car if i was to guess i would say between 100-200.hope this helpful too you and as i say if you need code let me kno i can help you.

Can't answer questions because I have not seen the car yet(potential purchase fo my daughter), going to look at it tommorow. Would it be an expensive problem to solve- both the central locking and radio, you mentioned codes, what code would it require on the radio???
