Just serviced my car- how do I reset the on board computer. Still saying time for service when i turn the car on

Easy way... disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for a minute.... this will of course reset everything in your SID, however it seems to remember your seat position and radio stations. Strange, but it works.. :)

Get it serviced if it needs it, and make sure they reset the light.

If it doesn't need servicing, reset it yourself in the SID menu.

"Time for service" light comes on after the car

Your mechanic may have forgotten to reset the light. Also if the time for service light is your check engine light a fault code may be stored in the vehicles on board computer. Have the codes pulled to determine if a fault code is present or not. If there are non you can have the light reset, however if there is a fault code and you just reset it the light will keep coming on until the problem is corrected.

How do I reset the oil life indicator on 2006 Saab 9-3

Switch ignition ON. Press brake pedal. Press button [A]. RHD - 100248. LHD - 100254. Turn button [B], until the message "System Settings" is displayed. Press button [B]. Turn button [B] until the message "Service Info" is displayed. Press button [B]. The message "% left of oil quality/days to service" is displayed. Turn button [B] until the message "Reset Service Ind." is displayed. Press button [B]. The message "Are you sure? Yes or No" is displayed. Turn button [B] to select "Yes". Press button [B]. The message "service parameters updated" is displayed. Switch ignition OFF.

Is there a reset button for a 2005 SAAB service engine light? I just had it serviced but it was before the light came on.

Pressing and holding the clear button for at least 8 seconds,you will lisen 2 signals on the 2º signal service it will flash.

How do I reset the oil life monitor?

To clear "TIME FOR SERVICE" from the Saab Information Display, press and hold the "CLEAR" button for at least 8 seconds. A signal will be heard indicating reset. After the 21st restart of the vehicle, the "TIME FOR SERVICE" message will be cancelled.

Turning off service light on saab 93

Hi,If you press and hold the reset button on the SID unit the message will go out ,however it might come back on a few times so you may have to repeat this for a couple of days till it stays out.
