2004 Kia optima is having exhaust issues. Lack of power, beleive front catalytic converter is clogged. When running there is a huge lack of power and the front of the exhaust is glowing red hot.

You can install a test pipe in place of the converter for testing, or just disconnect ahead of the converter to test, but this will make exhaust REALLY loud. Stock converters can be expensive, but aftermarket units aren't too bad. Buy a "direct fit' unit for easy install.

That is caused by an over fueling condition, you need some testing done.

I have a Toyota quantum voting 2008 model the front pipe of the exhaust gets red hot within minutes and the exhaust bafflesystem burn out after a month or two this is the 3rd ex any ideas

Baffle system? When exhaust gets red hot, usually means your catalytic converter is clogged, but, ive seen instances where a muffler had gotten clogged and was doing the same thing! Aside from the, air/fuel mixture being off could also potentially cause this!

What would cause the two exhaust manifold pipes on the passenger side to glow red hot the ones on the driver side does not get red hot 2000 Mitsubishi galant 2 4

Try checking for a restriction in the system. possibly the catalytic converter. are the pipes before the muffler? you can smack your catalytic converter with a dead blow hammer a few times before you start the engine. you will hear a sound similar to breaking glass from inside the converter it's carbon build up. Start the engine and rev it up a little. If it was constricted the carbon you broke loose will blow on out. If nothing is restricted in exhaust you may have a bad exhaust valve on that side.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee back fire

Backfiring is caused by unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust system, which could be the header, catalytic converter, muffler or exhaust pipe. Red hot is caused by the burning fuel. You either have a timing issue or you are not getting enough air flow into the fuel injection system, which can happen for several reasons. I would try to find a good local mechanic and pick their brain.
