There is air in the system. Bleed brakes but you gotta do it right. With a VAG diagnisis tool it is very easy.

SOURCE: have bleeded brakes but still get no tension at

theres a leak somewhere. fill master then pump pedal 15 times then take alook under the car and look for a leak, for it to drain overnight means its a pretty big leak you should be able to spot it, try that. hope this helps.

SOURCE: added brake fluid when pedal went to

There is diffinatly a leak in the break system and it is most likely one if not both of your rear wheel cylinders. Need to have it checked out before it gets worse and you end up in a wreck due to no brakes.

Emergency brake light comes on and makes a grinding sound

The brake light will come on if your brake fluid level falls below a certain point, indicating you're losing brake fluid. Grinding noise indicates your brake pads are shot. Get to a brake shop.

2004 Jetta brake problem

If the fluid was really low you most likely need brake pads replaced, if the pedal is soft you need a master cylinder.

The brake light is continually on, on the dash of my 2006 VW Jetta. The emergency brake is all the way down, and yet the brake light is on, and there is a non-stop beeping sound while driving.

If your ABS light is light it could mean several things. First check to make sure that your parking break is all the way down. Secondly, it could be cause by you not having enough fluid for your breaks.

Brake light on dash stays on even when the emergency brake is released

That brake light also indicates when your brake fluid is low. Check your brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir and add some if necessary. Also, check the braking system for leaks.

Volkswagon Jetta, Brake warning light stays on.

Just for giggles... inspect the brake pads. The light is designed to come on when your brake pads are getting thin as well as low fluid level and emergency brake use.

Emergency brake

look under the front of the rubber boot that covers the bottom of the park brake handle, u will see a nut on the end of the park brake cable, tighten it until u reach the proper adjustment.

Brake light came on & brakes airy & to floor. replaced a broken brake line & have bled front /back brakes several times & brakelight still on/brakes not good

Check the float that is in your brake fluid resevoir, usually the brake light comes on when the fluid is low or the float is stuck down. Also your brake light might be tied in with your emergency brake hand or foot pedal whichever kind you have. Check this switch also. I hope this helps

2004 explorer brake light will blink here and there while driving

check and make sure brake fluid is full, if so then the emergency brake has a switch on it that will make the brake light come on. to check this get in vehicle and push emergency brake then release it then take your hand and wiggle the emergency brake peddle and see if the light comes on and off. if so then the peddle is not comming all the way up against the switch this may be solved by just pulling up on the peddle each time the emergency brake is released,

How do i change brake fluid in my 2004 Hundai Accent

1st check the easy things, that would be the brake fluid level. If it's low, the light will go on. Next check the emergency brake, if it's on slightly, the light can come on. Your fluid should be changed when u have a brake job done, the light wouldn't be on for that, only if there is a problem w/ the system. Check this out asap, as it can be unsafe to drive. If adding fluid to the proper level results in the light going out, make sure to check the level daily to make sure u don't have a leak in the system (and u can look under the car for signs of a leak-drips stains puddles). As your brakes wear down, it is normal to have to add fluid, but only a small amount maybe a couple of times between brake jobs. If u have the brakes done in the future, have them flush out the brake system. This is overlooked most of the time, and can result in problems down the road w/ corrosion of calipers and brake cylinders, which lead to premature wear on the brake pads and shoes. Let me know how u make out.
