Squeaking... pully maybe?

Typically the squeaking occurs most on a cold day, but even on a hot day it will squeal for a while and sometimes it will stop when I engage the clutch. It's worst when I turn but I've also noticed that it may somehow be connected with the AC because if I turn the AC on it will start squeaking briefly but it will go away. It doesn't only happen when the AC is on though I've just notcied that sometimes it will initiate the squeak... help please.

The ac belt is sperate from the power steering belt.. sounds to me you need to replace the belts (both of them) but theres a idler pully in the middle of them all witch may have a bearing going out on it..i had to change mine at about 85,000.. when i had the belts off i spun the pully and it was excessivly stiff cause'n slipage and also a squel.. hope its not the alt, or water pump making the noise..they can run ya into some $$

Whenever I turned on the ac in my '97 Altima it squeeked loudly. By tightening the belt (at the bottom of the engine near the right front tire) the problem was resolved. But there's still a squeeking noise when I turn the steering wheel hard to the left or right. Does this mean I need to tighten the other belt run by the alternator near the top of the engine?

This is your fan belt. you just need to tighten it to fix this problem
when you turn it engages your power steering which runs off the fan belt. so when you turn or turn on your ac it makes this belt work harder, and because it is loose it stats to slip and cuases the squeeking noise.
you can tighten this belt by adjusting your altenator

Squealing noise from car

If squeaks alot when it is cold and/or you turn your lights on, you are gonna have to give a litlle more tension to the belt, it might have got loose (wearing) or was not sufficiently tensionedwhenyou got it fixed. Consider replacing the belt if you haven't done so already.

How's your engine coolant level? If you've got a water pump leaking coolant, your belt will squeak, as the pump will leak the coolant directly onto the belt. You'll see the spray pattern under the hood if it's been going on for a while.

Not familiar with bmw, but a squeal like that means that the belt isn't tight enough. Probably didn't get tensioned enough when the new belt was put on.

My Bravada was squeaking so I took it to the shop and was told my idler pulley and tensioner arm needed replacing. I replaced these and for about a week it didn't squeak, but now it's doing it again. ...

Replacing the belt should of been first. If this was done too, I'd look at a pully. To test that, take the belt off, and start it, does it still squeal?

Load squeaking when running dies sometime

all pullys should be moving in the serpentine belt, if one is not moving than that would cause friction and belt winning. replace what ever that pully is attatched to the bearing is ceased.
