The central locking is controlled through a central module commonly called the Body Control Module. You need to have it scanned by the dealer to see what the problem is.

2009 Expert. remote fob not working. The central locking will not work with the key, only the drivers door locks. Worried because I'll have to leave the van open over night.

Try replacing the FOB battery. Check the fuse for door locks. usually located in the engine bay fuse box. Temporarily you can lock the other doors from inside the van and lock the driver door last using the key. Another possibility is that the locking switch in the driver door is faulty or the central locking motor is. All other doors will only lock if the driver door locking system works. When you lock the driver door, the locking motor will hit a switch that will lock the other doors.

2002 chevy Blazer 2 door. Power locks, and liftgate stop working. The locks will engage when I shift to drive and will disengage when placed in park. Where do I start?

Hi,
Plz explain...are the locks supposed to lock/unlock when you put the car in Drive/Park, or not?

Does the lock/unlock SWITCH on the DRIVER'S door work/not work? If applicable, does the PASSENGER's door lock switch work?

Hi there key dont work

it could be a problem with the central locking unit. you would need to have the system red on a obd read that does this part of the vehicle, you could try to reset the system key in ignition turn to number 2, press fob doors should lock and unlock with the button pressed. as for the side door this is controlled by the front door on that side this door has to be locked and the pin moved in the lock to send the power to lock the side door. with the central locking not working on the system and you manually locking it it may not be going all the way to lock both doors. or the central locking is not working at all. the fuse for central locking is in the main fuse box.

Doors lock themselves when manually locked with key in ignition but if key is removed it doesn't do it. No lock function on power locks only unlock function works

Sounds like the switch is bad. Try passenger side lock button or keyfob lock. If they work and not driver side, then it's the switch in the doorpanel. If none work to lock, but all will unlock, then it's probably the little lock motor inside driver door.

Central Locking

When you use your remote or insert your key in the Drivers Front door all the door locks should work at the same time by the door lock motors electrically. If you have to manually unlock the door because it will not lock or unlock by the lock motor, you need a door lock motor. The drivers and passengers front door can unlocked with the key manually. The rear doors you have to pull up the latch. If no doors unlock electrically with the remote or drivers door lock, intermittantly or all the time, you will need a Central Locking Electronic Control Module. You will hear the "beep" but no door locks will fire at all. If you have odd door locks not working intermittantly you need a new door lock motor for each door lock that malfunctions. You can hear of the door locks are working electrically. Yes, they are common problem. If you can hear the door lock working but the door still doesn't unlock you need to take the door panel off and lubricate the door latch assembly and work the lock, loosening it up. This is common as well.

1998 Jeep Cherokee Internal locks and power locks Not working.

Open the door panels and lube all of your lock mechanisms. They tend to get stuck and it harms the locking motor. After I lube mine up, they freely move. Just spray some lithium grease and manually lock and unlock the door with the rocker until it moves very easily. You'll probably have to do this once a year like I do.
