The blower resistor is part of the blower module which is located on top of the blowercase under the hood. Just by the blower motor , hope you find it.. It will also have 2 plugs on it..

98 buick century , with auto climate control ,

is it HOT or just not as cold. If its HOT, like heated air, there is a door problem, if its just not cool, the a/c refridgerent is low and will need a recharge, most likely the comp is leaking.

98 buick lesable blower motor stop working?

Automatic climate control uses a temperature sensor to detect cabin temp. I would look at that circuit for the problem, as it may be getting erratic readings from the sensor to the control unit, causes the blower to become confused to the air temperature in the car. You could probably find the entire climate control unit in a salvage yard to swap it out for a low price.
