Heater fan no workie

The control panel is lit and functioning, but the fan does not come on in the front only in the rear. Would this be a fan, fuse, or vacuum issue?

Hi my name is Allen!

If the blower motor is not working the most likely cause is the blower resister, but you must replace the blower motor also because the resistance build-up inside the motor is what damages the resister.

Rear blower: only works on high when set on cold, won't work at all when set to heat

I would start with the rear blower motor resistor, the resistor is what controls the speed of the fan, the resistor is located in the rear heater box near the blower, you will need to remove the right rear side panel to access the heater box. start with that

2000 land rover dscovery heater/ac fan will not kick on,have replaced control unit, relays and diode, still loose power at fuse when unit cuts on,any ideas?

There is a resistor pack that controls the fan speed switches. Not sure about the 2000 Disco but on Range rovers of that era it is under the cover below the decker panel.- namely at the rear of the bonnet. Check that it actually is there, then get back to me and I'll post details of how to replace it

This is for front blower motor. The orange wire is voltage, hot all the time, fuse protected. The black wire is chassis ground, you can check both those wires with test lite. The top wire, control from hvac control module. That may be a pulse width modulated signal? This was for automatic hvac w/o roof.

The heater fan will not turn on in my 1996 oldsmobile Aurora

You might need to check does your fan still functioning or not. There is time when the heater fan lifetime will end. On the other hand, if you have to check your car lights or any electronic device whether it is functioning as usual or not. If there is some problem, that's means there is problem with your wiring.

Heater fan on 2002 Yukon does not operate in front, only rear.

The front blower motor is controlled by the blower resistor module. This is usually the problem with the front blower not working.I looked up the schecmatics and I don`t see separate fuses for the front and rear. But the fuse for the front blower is in the under hood fuse block. If this is good then The problem is probably the resistor module. It is next to the blower motor. The connector from the resistor connects to the blower motor. If you want to confirm this you can check for power and ground at the blower motor connector when you activating the blower switch on.This can be done with a test light.Make sure you have power going into the resistor module also.If you have power going in and no power at the blower motor then replace the resistor.Hope this helps.Good luck.
