Recall question: Honda igniter module

Does anyone know if there is a recall out on Honda igniter modules? (the igniter module that is in/near the distributor). If so, what years/models does this recall apply to? I recently had the igniter module replaced in my stalled 1983 Civic wagon by my local Honda dealership. They charged me for the service. Someone told me that his 1989 Honda had the same problem, and he said the igniter module was a recall item, and he had his module replaced for free by his dealership. Is there such a recall? If so, does the recall involve my 1983 Civic wagon? Thanks in advance. I would appreciate a prompt response, as I haven't payed the credit-card bill yet! :-) Phil Is there a recall on the ignitor for the 98 Honda Accord

Memory Seat System Components
The memory seat system consists of the following components:
• Power Seat Switch
• Seat Horizontal Motor
• Seat Front Vertical Motor
• Seat Rear Vertical Motor
• Seat Recliner Motor
• Driver Seat Module
• Memory Seat Switch

It's not the module , probably sensor supplying bad info to the module.

Memory Set/Recall Operation
The driver seat adjuster motors are equipped with potentiometer type position sensors used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position. The position sensors are supplied with 5-volt reference and ground circuits from the driver seat module. The position sensor signal circuits are referenced from ground within the driver seat module. The signal circuit voltage levels monitored by the driver seat module range from 0.39 - 4.58 volts and are determined by the wiper locations on the resistors within the motor position sensors. The position sensor circuit voltage levels are used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position when storing or recalling memory position settings.
The memory recall switch assembly on the driver's door provides inputs to the driver door module. Battery voltage is supplied to the memory recall switch assembly from the driver door module. When a memory recall 1, 2, or EXIT switch is pressed, the switch contacts close the appropriate switch signal circuit to the battery voltage supply circuit within the memory recall switch assembly. When the driver door module receives active switch signals from the memory recall switch assembly, the appropriate commands are sent to the driver seat module using the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.
Memory seat recall operation is allowed only with the transmission selector lever in the PARK position while the ignition is on. The transmission selector lever position data is provided to the driver seat module by a message through the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop and have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .
Install a scan tool.
Observe the switch parameter for which the DTC has set in the seat module Inputs/Outputs data list.
Does the scan tool display Inactive?
DTC B1735, B1740, B1745, B1750, B1755, B1760, B1815, or B1820
DTC B1825, B1850, B1860, B2355, B2365, or B2375

Was there a recall on Ford Windstars 1999-2003 for the ABS module? I've read so many incidents like the one I'm having of the ABS and brake lights staying lit. If so, what are the steps that have to be...

The 2001 windstar does not have a recall on the ABS. There is a TSB but this is just a message to help out the repairer, its not a free warranty repair. The only recall you most likely have open is the speed control recall which is not associated with the ABS concerns common to the windstar.

No start

I'll give you a list of a few things that could be causing your problem. However, I think it's most likely a bad ignition module. I looked this up on the web and I see a lot of ignition module problems for the 2002 Escape. I checked the Ford recall list but there was no recall issued for what looks to be a very common problem with the ignition module.

Here are some other things that could be causing your problem.
1. Bad ignition coil
2. Clogged fuel filter
3. Clogged air filter
4. Clogged fuel injectors
5. Bad spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and /or rotor.

Slight miss

your fuel delivery module is under recall. 10 years from the date of original purchase (by anyone) from Ford. Recall campaign 03N01. Ford will play dumb at first, it's a "silent" recall. there are more here: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls

hello i dont think you will need a tranny your ignition system is tied into a few different areas in your harness from what your explaining the ignition contacts cross each other creating a short, safety neutral switch mounted at tranny ,starter, wich would run thru system blowing out fusebile links that are tied into the harness most likely near your starter ,goodluck please rate
