When was the last time you changed the air filter? Injectors may be clogged, walmart has a cheap fuel injection service. The fuel filter may need to be changed as well. All of these items will cause the symptoms you describe. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Hi My car engine just

The cam sensor is supplied a reference voltage by the engine computer and the cam sensor should generate a signal back to the engine computer above 50 rpm of the engine cranking. The problem could be a faulty purchased cam sensor (yes this happens sometimes although rare) fwiring connector problem at cam sensor or faulty engine computer.

2007 PT CRUISER TURBO p0700 u0101 p1603 intermittenet limp mode turn engine off and restart and runs normal for awhile ck engine light off and on sporadically

It is hard to say without looking at it. I use a professional scan tool to look at live date and perform some tests. If shutting the vehicle off does reset the system then it may be a fluid level, temperature, pressure or internal transmission control component to blame. How does the transmission fluid look (Is it clean and red)? How is the transmission fluid level? The transmission filter does have a life expectancy. Was the transmission fluid and filter serviced on time? I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need additional information. Good Luck.

What are the probable causes of DTCs P1603, P1604, and P1605?

OBD-II code P1603 indicates an issue with TCU communication.
There are communications that exist between the engine control module, or ECM, and the transaxle control module, or TCM. This communication is done through a control area network, or CAN. With the communication of the CAN, an independent pin and wiring is needed to receive a signal that includes sensor information from the ECM. The more information there is to communicate, the more wiring that is needed. When it comes to CAN communication, all of the information communicated is done alone control modules like the ECM and TCM using CAN lines. When there is a problem with these lines, the ECM will detect the problem and store a P1603 trouble code; the storing of the trouble code is what causes the SES or check engine light to illuminate on the dash.
Possible causes of trouble code P1603 include:
  • Faulty transaxle control module (TCM)
  • Faulty engine control module (ECM)
  • Harness running from the TCM to the ECM has a short
  • There is a poor electrical connection between the TCM and ECM
Diagnosing the exact cause of the problem should always begin with a visual inspection that could reveal bad wiring, loose connections, or damaged parts. From there, it is a matter of running down the list to determine what needs to be replaced. In general, a bad ECM will cause a loss of power, poor fuel economy, and stalling engine. While a bad TCM will have more prevalent transaxle issues like erratic shifting
P1605 and P1605
These codes are indicating a starting problem and rough idling. Code p1604 is a very vague code and diagnosing it without having a symptom is very complicated. And code p1605 is rough idling which means that the computer have noticed a rough idle situation usually this code is accompanied by other codes or if it's alone then I would suspect a fuel pressure issue. These two codes involve diagnosis and we'll need to dig into this problem deeper to find out what's causing them, Unless you are an experienced technician who need assistance then I will suggest that you take your vehicle to your local toyota dealership and they should be able to find the problem.

I have a 2011 dodge caliber and it isz throw a c0700 code could u tell me what this is

P0700 DODGE - Transaxle Control System Malfunction

Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transaxle shifting problems

Possible causes - Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem.

P0700 DODGE Description The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.
CLEAR THE CODES AND SEE IF IT RESETS. MOST LIKELY NOT A PROBLEM

Check your transmission output shaft speed sensor. First check that the connector is clean, free of corrosion, secured firmly and that wires have good insulation. If all looks well at this point then disconnect the speed sensor, remove it and clean its tip of any debris and see if this clears the DTC. If not change the sensor for a new one (less than $30). This should fix it.

My 1999 grand caravan showed codes p1782 & p0700,& it is acting fine & th check engine soon light went off on its own. is there a problem?

p0700 means there is a code stored in the tcm ( transmission control module). P1782 is 2-4 pressure switch sensor sense. This could be just a bad connection or a bad solenoid pack. Many times itis the beginning of the end.
