I have a 1994 Buick La Sabare adnt he heater was hooked up to the fusebox and it is not working - its melting the wire and the toggle switch keeps blowing. I need to know if the is something else that I can do to get some heat. I have no heat right now and I am a woman that knows nothing at all about cars... Is there a simple fix or a big deal to fix it? Any ideas??

For now go to a auto parts store and get a defroster/heater that plugs into the cigar lighter. I think walmart sells them also.

I had a 92 Lesabre and had the same trouble. My mechanic by passed the switch in the dash with a toggle switch. I used that till I got rid of the car but the blower would run full speed by doing that. Now in saying that the switch in the dash was automatic temperature control. Not sure if yours is that way.

SOURCE: heater core replacement

OK, Ifound the problem with mine. Dont unplug your air dryer. I checked the 2 hoses coming out from the heater core and still one was hot and the other not hot. The top one comes from the radiator fill tank and the bottom one comes out of the core and goes around to the front and into the water pump. I disconnected both close to the core and could runwater through both directions so upon further examination, I disconnected the hose at the water pump and no water flow. The hose was plugged up with something. Once I cleared it with a hanger and reconnected it I had water flowing through the core and great heat. Hope this is your problem too as it is aneasy fix

SOURCE: heater on 2003 Buick Century only works when the rpms are up

Your likely problem is low coolant level. Check to make certain that your coolant level is topped up in the radiator and that coolant is also in the reservoir at the appropraite level as shown when on container when the engine is hot or cold. When the coolant is low, you have to have higher RPMs to get the coolant to pump through the system and heater core.

Installed new motor still don't work where are the relay

Sorry to inform you, there is no relay, if there were, it would be located in the fusebox under the hood. It is your switch located on your column. You can hotwire it by finding a red wire on the connector and hooking to + 12 on battery.

Need wire diagram for a 1994 Buick La Sabre, car's not charging and runs real bad on the take off. But with a fully charged battery car runs good.

You do not need the whole wiring diagram mate. Just sort out the charging system for now and worry about the diagram later.

How do the radiator fans work? straight 12 V power in ground out? What damage could be done by wiring one fan directly, with a toggle switch, and hooked to a fuse and then grounded?

it's controled by a fan switch, when it get to a certain temperature the switch closed and power the relay which makes contact to feed power to the fan.
you can do a toggle switch like that, make sure you have right size of wires and the switch can handle the load, and the fuse is the right amp.
the possible damage is that if you ever forget to turn off it will drain your battery and make the fan motor go bad quicker.

Want to wire a toggle switch to the driver side power window to eliminate the switch as the problem.need wiring diagram so i can figure out which wire go to front drivers side.

why not look for the proper switch at the junk yard?  The same switch was used on many GM cars.  Sorry...I just personally hate shade tree modifications.
