I suggest that you have your local auto parts store like AutoZone or Advance perform a free diagnostic scan. Your problem could be anything from a faulty fuel pump to a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor.

A diagnostic scan will pinpoint your problem in most instances. Best of all: It's free.

I have a 97 dodge stratus. It won't start. Tried

Make sure it's getting fuel. Try using some ether or starting fluid. If it rumbles to life but doesn't stay running then there's a problem with the fuel delivery system. i.e.... Fuel pump, clogged filter, pressure regulator.... If the ether doesn't change the results you are getting now then it's a fire or sensor problem. Ignition coil, relays, sensors not signaling, PCM... I wish you luck. Let us know how it turns out

Engine turns over but will not start only when engine is warm

my car has the same exact problem!! i have 2 pop the clutch 2 get it started when it is hot. Mine starts great when its cold or hasn't ran 4 awhile but when we are driving around for more than about 20 min in it when we stop it doesn't start at all. it wont even turn over. so i have 2 have my husband push it while i pop the clutch & then it starts & runs fine till the next time we turn it off. its not a battery problem as we'v replaced the battery, & the starter & the alternater are fine as we'v had them tested. hopefully someone that knows & has fixed this problem can answer this mystery problem!! hopefully some1 can :D

Had my timing belt changed. Immediately after had trouble starting car. It finally started after a

I would think you would take it back & have them
check their work
Maybe you had more than one problem & did not
communicate what you wanted done
You have to tell these repair shop what to do
They won't do a thing that doesn't make money
in quick amount of time.
They just do the easy stuff

Trying to start the car I get "instant draw-down" of the battery and the car won't start--the battery is fully charged

the battery may be fully charged but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have a weak cell, next time you go to start the engine remove all of the battery filler caps (if it has any) & get someone to look into the holes to see if they can see if any of the cells are bubbling,if any are the battery is faulty & needs to be replaced......hope this helps......cheers.
PS. don't get your eyes to close when looking into the holes of the battery,it might be safer to use a mirror.

My 97 Lesabre is draining the battery overnight. The battery is new, if i disconnect it the car starts fine when reconnected. there doesn't appear to be any lights or anything on. The car has IPM (?)...

Put an AMP Meter in series with either battery cable
& pull fuses one at a time until you find the circuit that
isn't timing out or going to sleep.

Should only have 35 to 45 milli-amps after 20 mins

So wait 20 mins then start with the fuses, if over 50 milli-amp

My Break, ABS and Trac warning lights all come on at the same time. I can shut the engine down and restart the issue goes away. I t seems to be happening more frequently. My mechanic found nothing wrong...

Nothing wrong. Doesn't that seem strange to you

The ABS & Trac came on because that system has issues

There may be stored data, if not a code present

The mechanic has to component test to find the problem

These guys spend too much time with a scan tool & I
think some of them are waiting for it to tell them something

Doesn't work that way. If everything goes as it should, the
scanner shows what the computer sees, that's all,& that can
be a lot,but you have to move on & use different skills that
not everyone has learned yet apparently

Try another shop

That really isn't a diagnostic test etc, just looking at data
stream,if they see nothing out of range they quit

That doesn't help you any,the problem is still there, intermitent
maybe, but there.

It's getting gas, the battery's good, the fuel pump is working, & I just replaced the rotor, cap, plugs & wires. Every few weeks or so though, she just doesn't start. The only...

At first blush, it sounds like the distributor cap isn't seated. Since it's happening when the engine is cold and at night, I'm guessing condensation is causing the problem. Try spraying starter fluid on the cap the next time the car doesn't start. This will dispel any condensation. If the car starts, that would be a good place to start.
