My 2009 ford Focus will only blow (regardless of heat or A/C) out of the floor, or the defrost vents.

Exactly!! Follow the vacuum line , I believe to be on the right side of the truck, and follow it back to the engine. I'll be willing to bet you will find a break or a modification where a mechanic has hooked it to the wrong port. Now it is also possible for this engine to have a one way check valve installed in line with the vacuum line. Look under the hood for any diagram since the vacuum lines on these newer models will be minimal. Let me know.

It works off of vacume. The butterfly in your ducks arent opening, to allow the cold air to pass. good luck .

It Blows out of the floor if I select the dash vents as well but will blow out of the defrost vent if i select it.
It fixed itself I believe it was just stuck up.
