Your latch may be stuck in the latched position. Try pulling on the handle as to open the door while lifting the latch arm.

Sounds like the clip that holds the rod to the latch has come apart or broken ..remove panel and inspect it

Hi chance are the mechanism inside door jamming. Short of forcing off the inner panel in order to clean lubricate etc I find the best way to get this open is to get someone to keep activating your central locking open and shut while you simply keep trying the door handle at the same time and this can some times just catch the latch in just the right position to get the door open ( you dont need to forcefully be pulling on the handle as the latch will either simply click over on the fine spring latch mechanism or not force is not going to help).
Once and if you manage to get door open take off the inner door card panel and oil lubricate mechanism. rather than then shut door simply use a screw driver on latch to test and worth then working back and forth. If still jamming replace latch.

check the wire on the the switch by removing it normally two or three screws hold it in place,if wires are tight remove them and replace the switch unless you can adjust the plunger

the latch asssembly needs replaced

INSIDE EACH DOOR IS A SENSOR THAT ATTACHES TO THE DOOR LATCH OF EACH DOOR, SO IF U HAVE FOUR DOORS THERE ARE FOUR SENSORS, THE DEALER HAS A SYSTEM SCAN TOOL THAT CAN LOOK AT EACH LATCH SENSOR AND DETERMINE WHICH ONE IS THE PROBLEM.

loosen all 3 bolts, then do them up so that they are pinch tight then push door to close as hard as you can,open door and tighten bolts,close door again to ensure no rattles/leaks and that door locks.keep adjusting till you get it right...

there are switches in the latch pin in the door jamb, the switches are not in the door like most fords. if you look at where the door latch meets the striker you will see a rubber sleeve if you push it you will see it goes in and out. that is you door open switch, when door closes it removes ground going to the GEM or body module. when door opens switch is grounded and thn lights come on

there should be a latch on the inside of the door to enable it or disable it.
