None of my Power windows work on 2003 mustang V6

Neither window on my 2003 V6 auto.( base) mustang will work. All of the switches do not show any signs of working. In my mind there may be a fuse problem or a wire problem? How many fuses go to the power windows and does anyone have the 2 fuse diagrams that i may can get from you. (under the hood, and dash). I can find one relay (40 AMP) under the hood and one under the dash (20 AMP). I do not have a schematic or a diagram to go by and i could use any help i can get. Thanks.

the clicking u can hear is the relay for the window clicking, so i would say thats working, but u can also check with a multi meter, could also be the motor for the window, check all your fuses as it could be that also if its blown a fuse there is ur answer. and clean the window switch.

SOURCE: i have a 2000 ford mustang, my power windows on

Hi, it sounds to me like the connector to the switch is loose or the wires are broken in the joint at the door hinge. When you open the door, it's either tugging less on the switch or it's letting a broken wire make contact. First pull up the switch and see if the connector is loose. While you're there, you can check for power to the switch connector. The power comes to the switch on a light blue wire with a black stripe. If there is no power there, trace the wire back thru the hinge boot to find a break or maybe just run a new wire. Let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

1993 mustang conv all power winows and door locks quit working ?

Sounds like your ground part of the circuit is not working. Check in the door opening for broken wires-that's where they get stretched and break. Identify your ground for the windows that comes from the switch and goes into the cabin to a ground location-like behind the kick panel under the dash, maybe located there. You can use your multi-meter to check continuity of ground wire and also if the ground is good. Like this: your red lead to a wire or terminal that has power on it. Then connect your black lead to the ground wire terminal at the switch. If the meter shows voltage, then you know the ground is good. If the ground is not good, the meter won't register. See?

2000 MUSTANG V6 PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR DOES NOT WORK. HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT

#1 - 1 main power source feeds all the windows on the vehicle. So if all the other windows are
operating normal, then we know the main power soruce is ok.

#2 - If you do hear noises coming from the door when you try to activate the window, it indicates
that the switch is is ok. That leaves 2 possibilities: A worn / weak motor that cannot move the
window, or, a jammed or broken window regulator. Either way, the inner door panel needs to
be removed in order to determine which one is the cause.

#3 - Now if you do not hear any noises when trying the window, that could mean a few
things. A completely burnt out window motor that does nothing, a bad switch or faulty
wiring not allowing current to flow to the window motor, or, a motor or switch connector has
come loose.

Unless you are extremely mechaniclly inclined and have some experience, these repairs are
best left to a professional. Hope this helps.

What is the fuse number for the windows on a 1996 Ford Mustang

Hi, download your manual here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp

On page 282, it says the power windows are on a 20 amp circuit breaker. This breaker automatically resets itself, so I doubt it is your problem. I don't have the wiring diagram, but if the driver's switch panel has a safety shutoff, then all power goes thru that switch. If the power is not getting there or the switch is bad, then none of the windows will work.

No power to rear window defroster in 2003 Ford Mustang

the switch is protected by a fuse and it activates the relay which handles the high current needed to operaate the back window. You should have a light that comes on when the switch is turned on.

it's behind dash panel, center.
