SOURCE: 89 C4 911 gauges reading incorrectly?

These cars are funky and this is normal...gauges on all of the earlier cars are for general reference...checking the oil level manually while the car is running and warmed up is the most proper way to do this...generally speaking, your pressure should drop as the car warms up, but still reach 5 bar on full accelleration (928's have the same gauge). The oil level gauge will actually increase as the car warms up...the difference can be dramatic.

SOURCE: Hi,

no major issues to my knowledge. the carerra always reminded me of a highly modified v.w. with only 34.000 miles that car is just broke in. but, before you lay down 29gs. take it for a test run over to a reputable mechanic. to have checked out. if given a clean bill of health. go for it. just give it regular maintain. and you should be good to go for another few hundred thow miles or so..good day

GMC Jimmy gas filler neck leak

Replace your filler neck. It's not hard and when you buy the new one, installation should be obvious and rather straight forward.

A fuel leak is not something to take lightly and it will get worse over time.

Most fuel systems are pressurized (that's why you'll sometimes hear a hissing sound when you open your cap) so if your filler neck is leaking it can throw a code.

TOP UP GEARBOX OIL

Assuming you are talking about a standard transmission you have to locate the filler plug on the side of the transmission. Remove the plug. Most gear oil bottles have a long tube neck, simply insert neck into filler hole and squese bottle until gear oil comes out of hole. Any auto supply store can recomend the proper oil for your vehicle.

Is there a way to change the Fuel Tank Filler Grommet without removing the fuel tank?

take filler neck loose at the fuel door this will give you just enough room . you have to slide the filler neck inside the tank enough to get it out of the fuel door compartment then you can turn it and wiggle an jiggle till you get out

Can not fill 2002 Ford Explorer with gasoline.

Did you check the vent tube alongside the filler neck? If it is pinched or blocked with something, just what you describe will happen. The air in the tank needs some way to escape to make room for the gas, and it should be through the vent tube. If it's bent, pinched, blocked, you will have a hard time pumping gas in.
