Town Car 2004 wont start on first try

Hi Sometimes when I turn on the ignition to starrt my car I only hear a clicking sound and car wont start and it will start on second or third try. Sometime it will start on first try. Now for last few days when it start on second try it is a weak start (like struggling to start). SO far I did the following diagnostic Have my battery tested at Walmart and result was good I even changed my battery last week. No two days ago a check engine light came on and OBD scanner is giving a code of P0446. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Lincoln Town Car intermittently won't start. Engine cranks over but it won't fire. Later it will start, sometimes several times in a row, but then will inexplicably refuse to start again.

This sounds like an ignition module issue. It will not be available from any auto parts store as it has to be programmed by the dealer.

2004 pontiac montana. When starting sometimes I hear a clicking sound and it wont start and sometimes it sounds like its trying to turn over but wont. It will start after trying a couple of times and...

faulty starter solenoid possibility, if it doesnt start give the starter a tap with a wrench if it starts after that change solenoid or replace starter.

Key wont turn to start car

I know tis may sound a little bad but have you tried to turn the wheel while you turn the key. Sometimes the wheel gets locked up when turned to far after the key is removed.

Hi my 2006 Jeep Liberty won't start or turn over all keep hearing is this click sound when I turn the ignition , Plus I just replaced the battery .

Probably a starter. It sounds like the starter solenoid is working, but the starter motor is not energizing.

You could try this simple trick, but Im about 85% sure you have a bad starter.

Have a buddy help you push the vehicle in neutral for a short distance. When you get it moving at a walking pace, put the transmission in Drive, and let the vehicle come to a stop. You may hear a little clicking, but thats OK, it wont hurt anything. Put the transmission back in Park and try to start the engine again. Sometimes the starter gear gets stuck on the flywheel and it wont engage when you try to start the engine. This trick may move the flywheel a little so the starter can engage.

Turn key on nothing ,trun key off and on three or four time then it start

Either u got problem in ur ignition switch contactor(it is located aty the end of ur ignition key assembly) or the starter solenoid.

Do u hear any clicking sound when u try to crank ur ignition key? if u hear some clicking sound that means ur starter solenoid got problem.

If u don't hear ny clicking sound, that means ur contactor in the switch is at fault!

better bring ur car to ur nearest garage to fix on that, if u can fix it it by urself try it.
