The vehicle response is fine with some occasional backfiring engine sensation but I think is a matter of time before everything goes wrong. The check engine on, OBII reads turbo super charger boost sensor A circuit / Range Performance. I have no idea how to start in diagnostic this problem nor some manual to follow in how to repair the problem. Please advise in this issue. My Volvo is a S80 t6 1999 Thank you all for any helpful information
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ON MY 2001 S80 IF I CAN FIND THE TURBO SENSOR IT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT WHERE IS THE SENSOR ON THIS CARI HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ON MY 2001 S80 IF I CAN FIND THE TURBO SENSOR IT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT WHERE IS THE SENSOR ON THIS CAR
My ford f- 350 is doing the same thing, OBDII is telling me its the Turbo Super Boost Sensor A . What the heck is that! I called Ford, they never heard of it!!!!
Anyone can help? Its a 7.3 Liter Diesel 1999 Model Ford F350 Super Duty.
Hi what was the code (p 0244)sounds like you need to replace the the turbo wastegate valve .sounds to me like its overboosting as if the charge from the turbo gets too hot the engine will misfire thus causing damage to engine ,the waste gate valve is there to prevent over pressurisation

these trucks are known for the egr cooler failing but I think you have turbo issues. maybe the wastegate is stuck open and not making any boost. check your boost guage (normal amount of boost?) make sure your vacume lines and wiring is atached with no leaks. Any check engine light?
In general the possible causes could be: - Boost pressure sensor harness is open or shorted - Boost pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty boost pressure sensor - Faulty Turbo/Super Charger - Engine over temperature. - Ignition misfire exceeds the calibrated threshold. - Faulty Knock sensor (KS)
I would doubt its the turbo as you said it seems to be working just fine (unless the wastegate is stuck open/wastegate seal is cracked). Also if the ignition misfire exceeds the claibrated threshold then I would think you'd hear that in the engine running normally. I would say locate the sensor and replace it?
hi that sounds like the idle control sensor or tps throttle position sensor, if the i.c.s is stuffed you wont be able to boost and ur revs will be all over the show going up andown when car isnt moving hope this helps5
Hello, your car is probaly a variale vane turbo fitted and all you need to do is seperate the VNT part of the turbo, give it a good clean with brake/carb cleaner get rid of the sticky oily residue which makes the vanes stick on turbo causing a overboost fault, a delearship might tell you that your car has been remapped at some time setting the boost RPM at like 14 or 1500 and it should be like 2200 I do not know the specifics on your vehicle but a good auto manual will tell you at which RPM your boost should build. I would have a diagnostic done and see if this is your problem, if so do the above and go back and see if it fixed your overboost problem. If not, you will need your ECU remapped. I hope this fixes your problem!
boost too high, theres a boost cut out that interupts the engine by cutting out split seconds to stop overboosting,is it stock or has there been mods done
sounds like a very common problem on turbo vag vehicles, the variable vains are sticking in the turbo, your fault code would have said....turbo boost pressure not reached.....common with v v t turbos, run a good quality fuel cleaner through it ,if that doesnt work then a new turbo is the only cure
but the code is P0237 Turbo/superboost sensor A circut low imput
it is a 2001 Volvo S80
