Interior Lights - Check door ajar switch, its possible that go to bad.
Door Lock - Check ground connections and test switch.

Rare but possible, re-synchonized security module.

Why does my interior lights stay on when I get out of my 2003 ford explorer and why does my door ajar stay on when all doors are shut

Check the switch in your driver's door jamb. It will be a small button that pushes in when the door closes, or else a small plastic lever that does the same thing. If this is broken, it will complete the circuit and make your interior and seat-belt lights go on, as if you door is open.

Door ajar light stays on as well as the interior light but all doors are close tight.

Pull the boot that carries the wires to from the car to the door open it and check for broken wires , if there broken wires repair as necessary , also if there is no broken wires , closed driver door and push it harder while its closed push and check for the adjar light , check all doors . But I would start with door push first if it didn't do anything check the wires . Hope this helps .

2003 ford explorer driver side door opens and closes by itself and interior lights stay on while driving

The opening and closing by itself is either the door being out of alignment or the Door pin being worn and in need of replacement. As far as the interior lights staying on, look for the brightness control for the dashboard lights. If that is turned all the way to the brightest setting there is a position just past that which turns the interior lights on continuous. Make sure it is not in that position. If it is not in that position and the lights are staying on with all doors closed, to include the rears, and you have checked the switch on the dome light itself to make sure it isn't set to ON, then the problem is a switch in one of the door jams being grounded or a wire was tapped into the power circuit for the dome light that has grounded. This happens when the LoJack installer or Alarm installer makes the mistake of tapping the light circuit for power.

Interior lights, lights on rearview mirrow aren't shutting off.

Spray some WD40 into the latches on the side of the doors then open and close the doors several times firmly. This will unstick the door adjar switch most of the time.Start with drivers door first.

2003 Explorer door ajar light stay on when all doors are closed

I had this problem on my 2003 explorer and took WD40 and gave the lock mechanism a good dose where it meets the clasp on the door jam. Then open and close the doors a couple of times to get them working. They get gummed up and sometimes have a tendency to stick.

Door chime and courtesy light (under side mirror)

You have broken wires in the flexable harness between the door and the body. Pull the rubber boot back to inspect.
