    If your radio beeps and will not turn on, such as after battery power has been disconnected, then you must enter a security code to restore its function. The car should have come with a "special card" listing the radio's code and instructions on how to restore operation, but it is common for people to buy used Saabs without getting the radio code. If you can't find the card, start with the simple stuff. Look through the owners manuals and see if it has been written in. Try any 4 or 6 digit codes that you see. To enter a code, you must turn the radio on so it beeps and hold down the DNR button (-94 models) while entering the 6 digit code. For '88- 9000 radios, turn on the radio, press the band button, and then type in the 4 digit code. The procedure for other radios may be slightly different. If you don't find the code in the owner's manuals, remove the radio from the dash using the two little prongs. With the radio out, check the outside of it for possible codes, and try any you find - you might get lucky. Write down the serial number and your car's VIN number. Call up a local Saab dealer and tell them that you need your security code. They will run a check to make sure your car or radio hasn't been stolen. If everything is OK, they will contact you with the code.Here the links of there site;

    If the wrong code was entered, press and hold the "band" button until the word "code" appears then enter the correct code. (this is for the classic 900 clarion radio).
    If you can remove the radio from the dash . Pop the radio out and the correct code will sometimes be written on the top or in the back of the radio.

    Try to look in the packet that came with the car - it's usually in the glovebox - there should be a plastic card with the vehicles id number and the code you'd enter for the radio. I don't know if there's another way to reset that other than disconnecting & reconnecting the battery.

    Code 3231, 0100, 1123, 3179, 3343, I do not know if it will works for your radio, try it..maybe it might work for you.

Radio code free

Hi HalfBack

Unfortunately with the Saab factory radios, each unit has a code unique to the unit. The sheaf of stuff included with the owners manual included a credit card sized card with the code. That said, dealers can look the codes up for owners who have lost them. Your best shot is find a dealer that's still open and talk to them. Cheers

When I switch on the radio?cd player in my Saab 900 the screen says "Code 1". What do I do to fix this ?

could be the anti-theft device in the radio. it requires you to put the 4 digit code in to "unlock" the radio for use. This number should have been given to you by the seller -otherwise can be obtained by a previous SAAB dealer. This can happen when the battery is disconnected for a period of time

Where do you find the radio code 1994 saab 900

Upon disconnecting the battery the radio will flash code until you enter the code. If you enter the code incorrectly you must either hold the band button down until the word code reappears or leave the key on for one hour until the word code reappears. This procedure depends on the year of the car. If you do not have the radio code and would like to get it you must call your local Saab dealer with the serial number off the top of the radio. Many times radio owners will write the radio code on top of the radio once you have the correct code. Typically the radio code is in the owners pouch and is a small card with the numbers on it.

How to program 1995 900se saab radio

Tune to the first and lowest station on the band that you want and push and hold button number one (in the row of buttons immediately below the station display) until the number shows on the display and flashes. Pre-set one is now that station. Repeat, using button two for the next, and so on, until you have all the stations you want programmed.
