You did get the right part ??? Installed and hooked "everything" back up exactly where it went???,You did disconnect battery "before" you worked on it right ??, and in doing so , the computer's brain will norm. take some driving time to adjust itself to the car again and unless you had another system break down , it should clear it self 5-15 miles...by the way ,... what caused the part failure???, do you change oil as recommended ???

Headlamp relay stuck closed ,maybe. or BCM - body control module problem . Do you know how these systems work ? Headlamp switch is an input to the BCM , BCM energizes the headlamp relay to turn on headlamps .

is it more of a whomp whomp whomp noise that varies frequency depending on speed ? Could be a worn wheel bearing They are a sealed unit if it is a wheel bearing .

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? They are a common cause for surging. there's about a dozen of them. :( with a cool/cold engine... and with the engine running, and a can of carb clean in hand.. spirt some carb cleaner by the hoses/ connections when the engine revs up you have located the bad connection/hose. Maybe someone else also has some ideas. But that's where i'd start. Best to you.

If you are using home-made, or "Burnt" CDs, this is the root of the problem. Toyota Cd players are sometimes not compatible with the abovementioned CD's. Also, if the CD is scratched badly on the bottom side closest to the "hole", the info that the CD reads to "know" that the CD is physically IN the drive may be compromised.

You will probably have a problem finding any parts for this tape player, you can remove it and have it fixed if you can find someone that still fixes these. My advice is to either get a new stereo with cassette player or find a used one on ebay.

Hey Richard, An engine needs three things to run...(assuming all internals are good).. 1. A timed spark 2. Adequate compression 3. Proper fuel/air ratio Eliminate one at a time..then you will know why its not running.. and you can further troubleshoot the issue...(this is how a professional troubleshoots)
