Have an 86 eagle wagon that daughter drives. I
Did you check the shifter linkage. And good guess something broke inside. The torque converter to the drive shaft has hundreds of parts. Did it have any issues before it stopped working. Your daughter would be help on that one. It may have been hit when parked or something lately that's caused the issue

Old gas in tank needs to be cleaned out 86 eagle how to remove fuel tank
You don't need to remove the tank, just use a siphon hose to remove the gas into a gas can and get rid of it that way. You an get hose and a suction bulb from an auto parts store so you don't have to suck the gas up with your mouth. Then just put the proper ends into the tank and can, squeeze the bulb until gas is transferring, when the can is near full pull the hose from tank. This works perfectly every time.

Amc eagle repair
Get yourself some rolls of wire and a box of connectors, a pair of wire strippers and a wire end crimping tool, and replace each wire ONE at a time. Your only other option is to take the breather that you removed from the carb to put the gas in, and go find another car that it will fit. Drive that one.

Amc dies?
For a older car like yours, sometime sick just like an older people. Car is different, if you can find the reason why cause this kind problem, as soon as you fix it, it will run for a while, but it is not easy, I think when you drive for a while, the engine is hot and inside is over heated, the ring on the piston expanded, that’s cause the engine stalled, after 10 to 15 minutes, the engine cool down, it will start and drive a short distance again and wait until the engine getting hot again, it will stall again.
How do you solve this problem, go to junk yard and find a low mileage engine put in or rebuild your engine.
Hope this can help.

Need info on belt and pully alignment for 1983 amc
The a/c can be bypassed. When you go to the auto parts store tell them you want the belts for that engine without a/c. They can look it up in a book and get a part number that will give you the right belts. Hope this helps.

Light flash on an off when on bright
You will have to check any lose connections or bad terminals on the socket end of the lamp or on the relay. The on off action of the light may be caused by loose connections or a bad terminal.

I need to adjust the
Loosen the top bolt and use a bar to pry outwards on the alternator till it moves to it's tightest spot to tighten the belt. Then tighten the top bolt while holding the alternator out with the bar. You're done.
Need to bleed brakes on
Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid, leave the cap off, open bleeder on left front wheel cylinder till fluid begins to come out and close the bleeder. Go to the right front and bleed it, this is gravity bleeding and works fine without a helper to pump the pedal, when fluid starts to come out close bleeder. Now go to the right rear and bleed it the same way. Then lastly, the left rear. Bleed it and you should be done and with a good pedal. If you don't have good pedal, you'll need someone to pump and hold the brake down as you bleed each one from the closest to master cylinder around to the farthest from it in sequence. It's the only way to bleed brakes.
Having wiring problem on 1970
Yeah, You're right on the position of the solenoid, and you hook the side large post to the hot post of the battery with large cable, and the large post on other side of solenoid to the starter with the large cable. The single wire that comes from the starter switch goes on the small post to the front, and if theres a second small post, it doesn't have to nave a wire on it, but normally it is a power cutout to other things that are not needed to be powered when cranking. Use a test light and have someone crank the engine over to test and see for sure which wire is the one coming from the switch before you connect it.
84' amc eagle wagon starter wont turn over
If starter is good still, Check the battery connections on the battery and at starter. Clean then shiney. Check also the solenoid wire connection from the switch at the starter solenoid. Be sure it's clean and tight also. Then just be sure the battery is up to par.
How do u install a shifter cable
Well you going to need to lift the car and then disconnect the cable from the transmission on the driver side and then inside remove the shifter cover and disconnected from there and reverse the process
Easy way to find a short in the electrical system in a 84 AMC eagle
I'm presuming that your battery drains over time. If it is a short, the most probable location will be the cig-lighter, if it is not switched out. Some cars leave power to the lighter, even when the ignition is off. Carbon build-up in the lighter can conduct, causing a short. The alternator can also be at fault if it has a defective diode.
How do i fix my car
well what specifically do you need done to it, if you didnt type that in the first post I would say you better off taking to a mechanic
