I have a 1989 sundance 2.5l turbo was a great
Check to make sure you have 12 volts going to the distributor. You should be able to check this at the connecter going into the distributor. Unplug it, turn the key switch to "on", connect the ground on your test light or meter to a bolt on the engine and you should have power. If not, I would start checking all of your fuses and if they are all good, then I would start tracing the wire back looking for burns or cuts.
Overflow always fills,,,,radiator 1/2 full,,,when driven,,,gauge
My girlfriend has a 91 sundance. I solved that prob by doing a coolant flush and replacing the radiator cap. The gasket was torn to shreds on the cap
I have a leak in heater hose
Don't really understand where your talking about but if it's comming from the hose, replace the hose, or if it's close enough to the end. Just cut off the broken part and put it back on. Make sure the rest of the hose is in good condiction. Squeeze it and look for cracks. If it's comming from the engine block like i think your saying. Between the block and the head. You have a broken head gasket. Pull the head off. Take it to a machine shop to check for flatness. Then replace the gasket that seals the head to the block.
ELECTRICAL
This is a good one. Get your hands on a wiring diagram. What you're looking for is a common wire that possibly links the radio, dome light, and defroster. You're looking for possibly a common power wire. Look for bad grounds under the dash. Mainly look for a common wire between the components. I have seen if one thing goes bad, it would effect things that you wouldn't think had anything to do with it. Honda is good about that.
88 Plymouth Sundance
I don't have a manual for the 1988 Plymouth Sundance, but I'll see what I can find. You would replace it. If you/your daughter plan to keep the car for a whle (and you plan to be her mechanic), I would recommend purchasing a Haynes manual for it. As soon as my vehicles' warrantees expire, I buy the manuals. The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor is usually connect to the air duct near the intake manifold. Looks like for your car they run from $40-$70, depending on your engine size and turbo or not. Good luck!
