How do you set the
You have hydraulic lifters that do not need to be set. Make sure the pushrods are centered in the lifters and tighten the rocker bridges down alternating sides to keep them even. Pretty sure torque on those is 15 foot lbs. If installing new parts always put a swipe of white lube or pre-assembly lube on all pivot points to keep them from galling before the engine oil can reach them.

Jeep comanche is overheating
have the radiator cooling system pressure tested first. the if all is ok, then suspect a stuck thermostat. if these are all good, then I would check the flow of the system, may have restriction causing not enough fluid to pass by and transfer heat away.

Truck wont run when i cut headlights on alternater
Check the alternator again. You need to find out if it is putting out the correct amount of amps. It can produce the volts required without producing the amperage required to run your vehicles systems. I think you will find this is the problem.

You could try a dealer but I doubt if any can get one. Other options are to comb local scrapyards or check with any of the numerous online jeep clubs out there.
Unless you are doing a restoration, it's more important to get something on there though, even if it means updating or cross-breeding something that fits from another vehicle.(even a complete tank)

I want to change my 1989 2wd comanche into a 4wd?
if u want to change it to a 4x4 u need front drive line. and it bolts to a transfer case. u need to get one special ordered, u could use a cheokee tranny that has 4 wheel drive and bolt it on to the back of the motor. make sure that the bell housing has the same kind of bolt pattern that the back of the motor has.

You might try adjusting the idle at the throttle body, check the mass airflow sensor, and check for leaks around the plenium.- or what some people still refer to as the intake. And, check the condition of the fuel rail and injectors.

I have a 1/4 tank of fuel and I run out. the pump
likely the float arm is out of adjustment on the pump assembly. There isn't any "special" way of installing, it's just a matter of being careful so that the level float arm does not get bent or the actual sending unit on the assembly does not get pushed out of position.

Turn signals do not work
This is one FLASHER fault; ?m referring to the blinker "flasher fuse", it is the bottom
round fuse under the dash in the fuse block.
REPLACEMENTThe turn signal
flasher and hazard units are usually located located under the dash
either to the left or right of the steering column on most models.
-
Remove the turn signal flasher unit or hazard unit by pulling them
up from the electrical connection.
-
To install, push the unit(s) into the electrical connector
Good luck (remember comment and rated this).
