Air bag light stays solid for 98 maxima.
Try resetting the air bag warning light...
1. Turn on the ignition with the driver's door open;
2. Quickly flick the driver's door switch 7 times.
This will clear the warning. See if that makes the light behave. If not, you have invested about a minute of your time.
1998 Nissan Maxima thermostat housing leaking why
Over time, vibration and the constant heating/cooling cycles of an engine break down the best of gaskets. Most newer thermostats use a rubber gasket and these will shrink and crack over time, allowing leaks.
My sound stopped working except the sub and amp.
If you have a little electronic know how... it can be a blown capacitor in the speaker. If you find it, solder a new one in and turn the volume down in the future. And look around for any signs of burnt insulation. Trunk amps are notorious for being insufficiently wired for power.
SE. Why aren't plugs 2 and 5 firing?
Hiya Pete, I am thinking bad number two coil pack or ignition control module if you have checked and cleaned/replaced your plugs. Also a good idea to check or replace plug wires if they are worn or have been installed longer than your last 2-3 tune ups. Just went through this myself hope this helps:-)

Do you mean turn it off? You can't ignore the check engine light. go to Auto Zone and borrow a OBDII connect it under the dashboard with the ignition on, and write down the engine codes, and then seach on line about the description of those codes in order to fix it, after the repair has been done, erase it with the OBDII. the check engine light is there for a reason you might want to take it to a mechanic so he can put a reader on it and find out what the Inginevitable light is telling you if it's something minor like an oil change or something no big deal he can shut off that engine light for you
