If this is the multi colour lighting system for inside the vehicle you will need to 'Hard Wire' it into your vehicle electrics. The Safest way to do this is to pay an expert to do it. There is no such relay. It is derived from the ECU. Check for a bad earth or damage to the loom feeding the light cluster.

This might seem a silly suggestion but have you checked the actual switch on the light? It can be set to always on, Always off or door triggered. The rocker switch is usually set to the middle position for the door setting. Most modern cars now fit the switch into the actual door latch built into the door panel. You would possibly need to strip the door card off to remove the whole unit just to get access to the switch.

Apparently there is a relearn period after installing a new battery, but there is nothing mentioned about a battery sensor.
