check to see if it has a viscous fan hub. if so then it is the hub action doing what it is sup[posed to do. When the engine is shut down for a period of time the fluid is allowed to flow back to the drive section of the unit . ON start up it virtually locks the hub so that the fan is travelling at full engine rpm and the noise you hear is the air flow through the radiator After about 30 seconds to a minute the fluid is pumped back to the reservoir and the fan hub drive slips and the fan slows down and the noise goes. IT will come and go on a properly operating hub as the coolant temperature engages and disengages the hub drive . You should notice it at stop lights , slow moving traffic and hard work at high rpms.

Put your foot on the brakes and have someone see if you have brake lights.This has a shift interlock that uses the brake lights to complete the circuit that unlocks the shifter from park. You can bypass this saftey feature by applying brake, engine off key off and moving shifter to neutral then starting the engine Dont forget to fix your brake lights !!

Sounds like a low octane knock. could be you are using to low an octane fuel. with a 5.9 i would use 92 0r higher

steering pump or belt. make sure steering reservoir has correct amount of fluid and is not black. if its black you might try sucking whats in reservoir out with a turkey baster or syringe and refilling with fresh fluid.

the fuel smell is from unburnt fuel in the cylinders not firing , i'd have to start with reading the OBD codes to help narrow down the component/s at fault but at a guess i'd think the ign coils are at fault but the OBD will pinpoint the issue

Maybe the child safety button is on. On the side where the locking device is, there should be a switch to turn it on or off.

Well,you may have an oil leak,but #2 missfire may mean a few things. Pull #2 spark plug and see what's up. be sure you are getting spark to #2. Check for a vacuum leak,also.

are you talking about the overhead vents? only a/c or recirculated air come from the overhead vents.

look for abs light when you first turn the key. it will only come on for a couple seconds.

Power steering pump. If the gears in the pump become worn or "galled" the pump will whine and it will be harder to steer until the pump is replaced. **Check the power steering fluid level first. If it's low add to the correct amount. This may help if it's just low on fluid. If this doesn't help it is probably new pump time.
