Front vents not working but rear vents working
The blower motor resistors are known for going bad. Usually its because the blower starts drawing too much current. What I would recommend doing if you can and have the tools, is to check the blower motor connector to make sure 12 volts is present. If so than I would recommend replacing the blower motor resistor. Then if the same issue ever happens again and the blower motor resistor is bad again, you will need to replace the blower motor and the blower resistor as the final repair.
Here is some info about testing the resistor using a multimeter it you have one:
DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING- BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
Both the front blower motor resistor and the optional rear heater-A/C unit blower motor resistor can be diagnosed using the procedure that follows. For circuit descriptions and diagrams, refer to Air Conditioning/Heater in Group 8W - Wiring Diagrams.
Here is the information on replacing the resistor:

Here is an exploded view of the HVAC box. The resistor is #63 in the picture and the actual part may appear slightly different:

If any issues such as no voltage at blower connector or damaged or melted connector at the resistor then let me know.

2002 DODGE DURANGO. WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK
I had the same problem (will not shift out of park) with my 03 Durango with column shifter, worked on it and found the issue to be a pin that comes out in the steering column to block the shifter when the truck is turned off in park. When you turn the truck back on the motion of the key switch is supposed to allow the pin to retract so you can shift. In cold weather mine acts up. It looks like the pin is retracted with a spring and there may be some grease in the system that hangs the pin up in cold weather. Cleaning the parts may be a fix but to get mine working I pulled the boot that surrounds the shifter lever out of place and then the pin can be seen. A push on the pin with the key on and it retracted so I could shift. I think I will just leave the boot out until it warms up and I can try some presserized oil free cleaner on the parts.

4 wheel will not engage on 2002 DODGE DURANGO
you will need to let the durango sit in the nuetral position without moving, then turn the knob from 2WD to 4WD. if that doesnt work, try putting the durango in reverse and then back to drive a couple times. you may have some mud/dirt/oil caked up under there interfering with the 4WD moving parts.

trk heats up, steering wheel turns and after depressing brake pedal still unable to shift out of park iit happens to wife in cold weather more often then in warm weather dealer dosn't know how to fix problem been there thre times. PLEASE HELP. Since then friend at work with a dodge intrepid is exp same problem.
Not sure that this is the solution, but I found a work around on my Durango. If you take off the cover on the shifter there is a lever (button) that you can dislodge and the vehicle will release out of park. After I did this a couple of times, I haven't had the issue happen again.

My husbands 2002 dodge durango started acting up last night. As he was driving the head lights and dash lights started to flicker. The dash would go black for a second and the head lights would go real dim then come back. Can you please help to diagnose. Is it just a fuse and if so where is the fuse located?
just replaced headlight switch and took care of problem

photo of serpentine belt diagram.. for 2002 Dodge Durango.
There should be a routing diagram under the hood somewhere. But in case it is missing, here is the routing diagram. Same for all engines that year.

how to disarmed dodge durango security alarm
Dependa on the alarm system you have if it is sentry key imobilizer the dealer has to remove and reprogram the alarm module if you have a aftermarket alarm go under the dash and remove the relay and restore wires that have been bypass to the starter and restore it in its original condition. If its a plain starter disable system you will need to acces the starter relay open the cover (located in the engine fuse junction box) expose the relay have someone in the vehicle turn key on vehicle in park or nuetral foot on the brake collapse starter relay and you will start. this is the common alarm for this year and make if this is what you have always make sure the E brake is on and your not in front should it happens to start in gear and run you over

2002 Dodge Durango 4.7L V8 4x4, multiple/random cylinder misfires code P0300 and whichever cylinder misfires codes follow sequence 0301, 0302...0307, 0308. It has only happened on 2, 7 and 8. 2 has stopped now ust randon between 7 and 8 or both. When I start the vehicle I can run it as long as I am giving it gas when below 1000RPM dies out without help from pedal. HUGE fuel smell from back after running for a few minutes. Could the fuel pump/filter be the cause? Also when the fuel cap is removed a large amount of pressure is released. Thanks in advance
the fuel smell is from unburnt fuel in the cylinders not firing , i'd have to start with reading the OBD codes to help narrow down the component/s at fault but at a guess i'd think the ign coils are at fault but the OBD will pinpoint the issue

Where is the fuel reset switch on a 2002 Dodge Durango SLT?
Sorry but dodge doesn't use a fuel reset switch . Fuel pump relay , ASD relay - auto shut down . Have no fuel ? Did you do a fuel pressure test with a pressure gauge ? Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? Fuel Pump Electrical Circuits Description and Operation
