1995 Mazda MX-3 - Page 3 Questions & Answers
What battery range can i use for my mazda mx3 auto 1995
There are three things you need to consider before purchasing a battery for your car...
1. Physical size -> it has to fit in the holder
2. Assembly -> the posts need to be on the correct side (RC or LC)
3. Discharge capacity (this is given in CCA or cold cranking Amps), and is the maximun discharge rate the battery can hold for 90 secs.
As a general rule, the largewst battery that will fit is the one you want to buy. But of course if the budget is tight, then a smaller one would have to do. Don;t go smaller than 55 Ampere hour or 400 to 500 CCA, though.
Mazda mx3 clicking when cold
This is because the oil hasn't circulated in the HLA (hydrolic lash adjusters) that is ontop of the valves/springs under the cam. Once they are full with oil, the clicking stops and they opperate properly! Try running a thicker oil, other than that it's not a big problem unless the ticking is very loud or doesn't stop after it's warm.
I have replaced the fan belts and my '95 mx3
One or all belts aren't tightened enough.
The squell is a belt slipping.
It does it in gear because there is more drag then.
Smelling rubber either because they are new belts, or the belt is way to loose.
Cyclinder #3 no fuel ,no codes
You cold have a bad injector, the best thing to do is to swap out the injector with another injector like #2 injector and see if cylinder #2 get's no fuel. If there is no fuel in to #2 then you need to replace the injector, if #3 still has no fuel then it's going to be the wire harness to the #3 injector that is bad. If there is an Auto Zone you can loan out a fuel injector node that will indicate if there is power to the injector harness which would indicate a bad fuel injector so you don't have to swap out the injectors twice. Good luck and hope this helps you get your car running 100% soon.
Cyclinder 3 no fuel ,bad misfire
Check the wiring at the injector - then check the continuity across the injector coil. Give the whole area a good visible scrutiny. Otherwise, you need a new injector - and that's rare.
Automatic fluid
your seal between the engine and the tranmission maybe blown, thats why it's leaking, will cost you a bit to fix

Engine runs doesn't drive or reverse
first, check the transmission fluid lever, and see if it's low. ( the transmission dipstick can be found on the right side of the engine ( yellow knob ) ). check with your owners manuel, and fill as needed. you put the transmission oil in where the dipstick is. If that does not work, unfortunatly, you will be needing a rebuild ( 1800$ canadian, i don't know how much that compares to in your money)
Cheers

Misfire

Fuel gage
your fuel tank gauge ( inside your fuel tank ) maybe malfunction. get it checked

Mazda mx3 fuel problem
it cost the same because the gas tank capacity is the same as a 1.6, but your engine burns more fuel than a 1.6, and also faster
