MAINTENANCE

My advise is to get it checked out. Depending how many miles on the brakes something could be falling apart. If it's serious it could cost you big money if you just keep driving it. I saw at one time a wheel fell off because the bolts had broken off. Better be safe than sorry.

My 2000 ford crown Victoria. Have water on the rear passenger side floor. What could be the problem

Hey Grady.. There are few things that could cause the water intrusion... Is the carpet in the front floorboard wet?.. ..Has it rained recently? This will rule out window seals leaking? Have you opened the trunk and checked to see if water is in the trunk? OK..IF it has not rained, no water in the trunk, AND the front floorboards are wet, then the heater core is leaking... Do It Yourself and DIY Auto Repair by ChiltonDIY Free Automotive User Manuals ManualsOnline com https://haynes.com/en-us/search?query=2000%20Ford%20Crown%20VictoriaGrady.. sounds like its either the window seals or the door seals.. check for damaged door seals, cracked window seals..

Red anti theft on dashboard of 2000 crown victoria blinking real fast

Security is set. Takes a scanner to read the codes, Not a code reader. Fords most times have to go to the dealer to have the security program reset. I can diagnose it. Fix it if it's a bad wire or receiver. Anything else has to go to Ford for reprogramming. It takes two keys to reprogram. It will easily get up to $400+ to fix.

2000 crown vic , my turn signals, my dashboard lights, and the parking lights all stopped around the same time; I replaced the lighting control module, that did not work, nothing changed, what else ?

Hello hfdtjvdghvg c, You ought purchase volume 3 (electrical) of FORD'S factory workshop repair manual... Failing all that... It is HIGHLY LIKELY you drawing are available for FREE at BBB Industries site bbbind.com (below, registration required (proprietary information)). If you check those drawings... you should be able to take a simple VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) and quickly run through EVERY FUSE in your dash-light-DESTINATION... and their subsequent grounds... Without the "parking lights" issue, I would immediately be pointing at the DASH LIGHT DIMMER switch/control... ELSE run thru all your fuses Note: The "TOPS" of your fuses each have metallic test points the check if the fuse has operated ("BLOWN")... Hope this helps BBB Industries Premium Alternators Starters Power Steering Products

Check your timing and fuel pressure. Either one of these could be causing the problem.

My 00 crown vic p71 is having tranny prblem, i need help asap

Wow, this is a broad question and I side with your mechanic on this one. I think a sensor is shot. There are a couple of sensors involved with your car's performance. They, in turn, interact with other sensors so that everything operates in unison. In others words, if this sensor, you can call it the kick-down sensor, if you want to, isn't reading the proper positional information from your throttle -- starting about 1998 Ford was using a great many electronic circuits and sensors for performance, rather than just mechanical systems -- then it isn't telling the ECU (electronic control unit or the vehicles "brain") the proper information. In turn, the ECU can't order other systems to fire or work in the proper sequence. Given all of this, it is little wonder that your Crown Vic isn't performing well. I would suggest having this range of sensors looked at, the Mass Air Sensor, the Idle Air Bypass Sensor, the Throttle Positioner Sensors and the like. Granted, some of these sensors (Mass Air and Idle Bypass) are more for idle and low-speed performance, but you just can't tell when one or more of them may fail and interact with other sensors in the change. I think the most likely candidate of the bunch is the Throttle Positioner. If the ECU isn't reading throttle position correctly then performance will suffer. One other possibility -- and this is a thought -- is to have the EVP sensor checked as well, though this one is more involved with emissions than other things. Still, it could affect your Crown Vic's performance.

How come the damper motor is running but the car is not rising

Usually because the air suspension system has a leak, most often it's the rear air springs (air bags).

How do i change my oil pan on my 2000 ford crown

Yes you will have to raise the engine, also, and remove some other items that can be damaged when lifting. An engine hoist will be needed for this job. This text was taken from a 2000 crown vic workshop manual. see pic for torque sequence. i could not locate a torque spec, so you will have to hand feel them. if it is a rubberized gasket do not over tighten as it will crush the gasket. 2000 ford crown Victoria, was running fine, turned it off then wanted to restart it restarted but when pushing on accelator the engine died and now it will not start at all.

when you turn the key to the on position listen for the fuel pump to run for about 2 seconds (in the fuel tank) if you don't hear it check the inertia switch to see if it is tripped (you will have to look in owners manual for location)
