Where is thermostate on 1998 chevy cav
If u have a 2.2L, I have the same car and just replaced the thermostat and it took 10 times longer to find it than to replace it!!! There is a "Thermostat Housing" on the engine itself, front of motor, left side but IT DOESN'T GO THERE!!! There is a 2-Bold, 2 or 3 hose, bracket out in front, very accessible that it goes in!! I found mine just searching diagrams of chevy cavalier's and found it in a 03'!!! The place it goes comes off of the "Thermostat Housing" and runs right up front of the car, left side!!! Hope this helps some!!!!
I have a 98 che y cavilar that had a lighter fire
what are you asking. if its damage then check the wiring for the lighter to see if there is any damage to it. the fuse should have blown to stop this from happening. check the fuse and make sure its the proper amperage. if these are okay then check the lighter socket plug and repair as needed, replace the lighter socket and lighter itself.
I have a 98 chevy cavilar that had a lighter fire
This is a dead short in the lighter. For now disconnect wire on rear of lighter box and wrap with electrical tape. Trace wire up into dash to see if if melted any other wires in the loom. The loom can be replaced quite easily by a simple unplug and replug procedure if a used one can be located.
How to remove driver side fairing of z24 1998 cavalier
There are screws in the front and back of it, in the fender wells.. The rest is held on with plastic clips that pop off. Be prepared to buy those clips. They do break. The ones on top, you can get at the parts store. The bottom ones are dealer only.
The lights won't dim
May have a bad clockspring (under steering wheel). Could also have a problem with the headlight switch.
Where can i find a dome wiring diagram for a 1998 chevy cavalier ?
Do your dash lights work? Check the dash light switch to see if it rotates to control the dome light, it may be turned off completely or the dome light ground wire may be loose. If not the wiring will run from the back of the fuse block through the body post to the dome light Good Luck
1998 cavalier running lights blinking on and off
It's either the ground your splices are corroding or it could be a loose connection at the bulb connector. If all of the running lights are flashing at the same time then I would look at the ground and splices. You should always solder your splices together
