I want to replace my AC compressor belt

Just like your main serpentine belt, there is a tensioner for the ac belt as well. It may be easier to do it from under the vehicle. The main serpentine belt needs to be removed so you can have access to take the ac serpentine belt off. our vehicle should also have a diagram under the hood as to how the serpentine belt system is run. If you replaced the main serpentine belt, the ac should be pretty straightforward as well.

How do I replace the

Surge tank? Are you talking about the coolant reservoir? There should not be any water in the system. Only engine coolant. Anyway, it is easy to remove the coolant tank. They are typically secured by two or three 10mm screws, and one or two hose clamps. It is a pretty easy procedure that you can do yourself. Recommend a youtube search if you need video. helpful-fbhtsuujths3pkuos2jmb534-4-0_21.png

Check the system for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes should be the first step in the diagnostic process . Then reading factory service repair manual how the system works , viewing wiring diagrams . Object Detection Description and Operation Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist Operation The ultrasonic rear park assist system senses how close the vehicle is to an object. The distance is determined by the 4 object sensors located in the rear bumper. The object detection system will notify the driver when backing up at speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph). The object detection system will use the rear parking assist (RPA) display and the radio speakers for notification. When the ignition is ON and the vehicle is placed into reverse, the object detection system performs a bulb check. During the bulb check, the 3 indicators on the RPA will illuminate for approximately 2 seconds to indicate that the system is working. The object detection system performs a bulb check and operates when the following conditions are present: • The ignition is ON. • The vehicle is placed in REVERSE (R) for rear parking aid. • The vehicle speed is less than 8 km/h (5 mph). At speeds greater than 8 km/h (5 mph), the object detection system is disabled. The red indicator flashes to warn the driver that the object detection system is disabled. The object detection system senses how close the vehicle is to an object. The distance is determined by the 4 object sensors located on the rear bumper. When the system detects an object, one of the following will occur: • If the object is less than 0.3 m (11 in) away from the vehicle, the amber outside, amber middle, and the red outside indicators flash and the chime sounds continuously for 3 seconds. • If the object is less than 0.3-0.5 m (11-20 in) away from the vehicle, the amber outside, amber middle, and the red outside indicators are ON. • If the object is 0.5-1.0 m (20-40 in) away from the vehicle, the amber outside, and the amber middle indicators are ON. • If the object is 1-2.3 m (40-91 in) away from the vehicle, the amber outside indicator is ON with a single chime when the object is first detected. Object detection system can detect objects 7.6 cm (3 in) wide and at least 25.4 cm (10 in) tall. It cannot detect objects above the level of the roof. If the object detection system detects a malfunction, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be stored and the object detection system will send a serial data communication message to the instrument panel (I/P) to SERVICE PARK ASSIST message on the driver information center (DIC). Then the chime will sound and the red indicator on the information telltale center will be lit continuously. The red LED in the rear display will be lit, notifying the driver that a malfunction exists. Message will clear once the driver acknowledges it. Each object sensor is a three wire sensor that is both a transmitter and a receiver that comprises a signal circuit, a low reference circuit, and an 8-volt supply voltage circuit. The rear object control module supplies 8 volts to the object sensors via the object sensor supply voltage circuit and provides ground via the low reference circuit. The rear object control module triggers the sensors in a sequential loop and after each sensor transmits, the rear object control module uses the echo or signal return to calculate the distance and position of an object from the rear bumper. The rear object control module directly controls the RPA display. Do you know what DTC'S are ? Is it possible to disconnect the chain in a 99 Yukon Transfer Case and still maintain Rear-Wheel drive. There's a rattle in the transfer case and I never use 4WD. If I can't, is there a gear or someth

I am not an expert in GMC 4wd systems, but your theory is logical. Try to remove the CV joint first at the transfer case and see if you still have rear wheel drive. This will be easier than opening the front axle case and removing the components. Just take out the driveshaft to the front wheels differential and you should still have rear wheel drive.

Troubleshoot parasitic battery drain 2003 GMC Yukon 138000miles.

Not easy. You can put an ammeter inline with your battery and check the amount of drain. Be aware that electronics in your vehicle will normally draw a small current when the vehicle is turned off. If drain is unusually high (significantly more than about 300 milliamps), pull fuses until the unusual drain stops, and then troubleshoot that circuit. One of the most common causes of this type of drain is a light that didn't go off like it was supposed to (like under the hood, in the glove box, etc). Another possible cause of what appears to be a drain is a weak battery.

2000 GMC Yukon 4WD. Has

Does the truck have a lift kit on it? - CV Axle spacers may be needed. Have you recently replaced the CV Shafts? - You may have gotten an axle that was too short / too long if you got a rebuilt axle. It might be a worn pinion bearing in the front differential. Those can get louder with more speed. Check for excessive play in the yoke. I would also check the hub bearings on each front wheel. Its more of a growling sound than a whining sound. I have done both of mine in the last 3 years on my 2000 GMC Sierra. They run about $60 at Napa with a 1 year warranty. You will need a slide hammer. Jack the truck up so the wheel is off the ground and shake it. If you can move it around, its bad.

I have a 2006 yukon the engine is missing and the trans is shifting hard when u drive easy but if u get on it, it shifts perfect,i took it to shop they can't figure it out ,every where i take it t

In my opinion, the first thing you need to address is the misfire. This COULD be also causing the hard shifting. Case in point, though not directly related was a 1996 Ford Explorer. Lady thought the transmission was going bad because of delayed and hard shifting. Upon test drive and then investigation it was found the catalytic converter was partially plugged and after replacement, transmission shifted as normal. The engine wasn't 'breathing' correctly (too much back pressure) so the lower torque of the engine wasn't allowing the transmission to 'see' the power so a delayed and hard shift was the result. In your case the engine isn't producing the correct amount of power due to the misfire at part throttle which could delay and harshen the shifts. While 'getting on it' would increase the RPMs and 'mask' the misfire so the transmission would appear to shift 'normal'. Hope this makes sense and is of some help.
