Timing Belt broke. I replaced
When the timing belt breaks, it's very common that one or more of the valves that were open at the time were struck by a piston and got bent. This being the case, one or more of the cylinders is now failing to compress because the bent valve(s) are not sealing as they should when they close (or indeed, they may be jammed permanently part open). You need to get a compression check on the cylinders. This is likely to result in a need to remove the cylinder head and replace and re-grind several valves. Hopefully the pistons will not be damaged (They usually survive).

2001 Nissan Xterria, the brake lights is on when
Look under the driver's side dash board, locate the brake pedal and follow it upwards till you find the brake switch. It is either disconnected or damaged. Check that the wires are intact.

I have a 2000 Nissan
P0325 knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction bank 1 or 1 sensor, the knock sensor should be check/replaced. You can buy Haynes Repair Manuals at Pepboys that will walk you throught the process step by step.
P0303 is a cylinder misfire in cylinder 3 which may mean it could either be the spark plug, coil or the injector.

Running lights, dash lights, n
Hi
It is the indication of a bad turn signal/multifunction switch. Did you check the dimmer control? If you did and they still don't work the light switch connections may have burnt out. Check the back of the light switch. If they are burnt, you will need to replace the light switch and light switch harness.
Also It is possible you have a wiring issue, or that some wire bundles have come out of place from the back of your dash/steering column. So take out the whole dash and go through the whole wire harness from the fuse box throughout the whole dash.It would be advisable to take your car to someone to check it out.
Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

What are the most common
According to msn.autos
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Reliability.aspx?year=2001&make=Nissan&model=Xterra&trimid=92964
Occasional problems on this vehicle are plugging of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Passages (2.4L engine only) and failure of the Fuel Pump Sending Unit Assembly Connector Terminals. Plugged EGR Valve Passages may cause the engine to misfire and may also cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Failure of the Fuel Pump Sending Unit Assembly Connector Terminals can cause loss of power to the fuel pump leading to a crank and no start or an engine stall while driving. A periodic problem on this vehicle is failure of Distributor Assembly (3.3L only). The cost to repair the EGR Valve Passages is estimated at $10.00 for parts and $130.00 for labor. The cost to replace the Fuel Pump Sending Unit Assembly is estimated at $206.41 for parts and $195.00 for labor. The cost to replace the Distributor Assembly is estimated at $370.00 for parts and $39.00 for labor .All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.

Engine light is on what can i do?
In order to avoid paying a diagnostic fee at a service facility I would proceed to the nearest auto supply store that has a scan tool that you can use. If you are not sure how to use the tool ask the counter person to help you hook it up and retrieve the code from the vehicle computer. This code helps pinpoint what needs to be repaired in order to get that light to turn off. If you get the code(s) I will be happy to provide you with more information.

Which bolts are the right
The starter is held by two bolts. You have to first remove engine cover,Once the engine cover is out,the starter is seen. The starter is held by two bolts.Loosen the bolts with socket and ratchet. Pull the starter away from the engine. The engine cover is on the skid plate. The bolts on starter are either 8mm or 14mm bolts. You will just have to remove those two bolts.------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Just replaced thermostat and now
You might have a faulty thermostat..I've seen new ones that were faulty. Replace it again...Also, you might have installed backwards..The spring loaded side always goes in facing the block.. or closest to the block and farthest from the hose.

Check engine soon light is
take your vehicle to your locale autozone, they do free diagnostics tests. They'll tell you what codes your vehicle is sending out(Plus alot of information about that code, what needs replacing)
Good luck
