I've learned these vehicles and similar ones have a problem with the back glass hatch NOT releasing... long and short its likely that the little plastic clip broke, Oreilly's sells it alone for $5... so don't by the whole actuator unless you actually need the whole thing!

Where is the jack on

It should be in the cargo floor area, close to the tailgate. Either lift the carpet and/or look for a compartment door. Or is there a panel on the side of the cargo area. The handle to crank the spare up and down, is there too. If you have a space saver spare, its all going to be together under the carpet. Some vehicles place the jack under the back seat.

If you bought it used, a previous owner may have removed the jack. Hope this helps.

Lots of steam and hissing and the temp goes to 260

Your car should not run over 190. As a matter of fact I think you have a 185 degree thermostat. Its very possible that your thermostat is not opening and needs to be replaced. Also check your coolant. Make sure you only used DexCool. Vehicle gets too hot it can blow a head gasket. Warp are crackhead. Or crack your block. So make sure it does not get too hot.
