I have an 02 nissan altima if my clutch fork is worn will it still move in and out when I press the clutch also ifit does will it stop the car from going in to gear

if your have a worn clutch fork in the pivot point of your fork it will not work .to test it , just take hold of the fork you will feel if it is loose.but to fix it means taken off the gearbox .but than if that is done change the crankshaft seal and the clutch .but before that is done check for codes in case it is your gearbox having low oil.

Car wont start when it gets cold out

You don't say whether it is petrol or diesel engined or whether the engine is cranking fine but won't fire. Certainly an engine must crank quick enough but even then if it is the best diesel engine ever made it is unlikely to start below freezing without an artificial starting aid. Such an aid is already installed but must be in good condition. Heater plugs do fail sometimes or get tired and lazy so they need checking and sometimes the timer relay fails to switch them on. Good injector spray patterns are also needed for good starting. Petrol engines need enrichment of the fuel/air mixture for cold starting and a very good spark at the plugs. Worn spark plugs is the most common cause of poor starting and if the ECU isn't getting the right information about temperature it will be unable to make the correct fuel adjustments. A good injector spray pattern is also important. Lots to think about...

White smoke occasionally coming out of my Altima tail pipes.

If there is no loss of Coolant, which is a sign of Head gasket failure to the combustion area, which generates white smoke, I would recommend after 4000 miles of your mileage alone, a complete Service of Engine Oil and filter, AIR filter and Fuel filter.
An inexpensive way to find a recurring combustion problem, At 60k miles, the Spark plugs should still be good, but pull them anyway, just to confirm.

Heater only works while on the freeway

Sounds like either low coolant or air in the cooling system. Either you need to bleed air out of cooling system or repair possible leak in system. When there is air in cooling system and it goes into your heater core, heat is not transferred to the air blowing out of your vents.

Why does my 2002 Nissan only blow warm air and not hot air? The hot air comes and goes as it pleases it seems.

Your coolant level could be low and hot coolant from the engine can only reach the heater core to warm the air inside the car when the engine is at higher rpm's. Check or have your coolant level checked first before continuing to diagnose this concern. Second, I would check the operation of the thermostat. Best done with a scan tool observing the "ECT" sensor while driving. About the only thing you can do without a scan tool is check the level. DO NOT OPEN THE RADIATOR OR RESAVOIR TANK WHILE THE ENGINE IS HOT ok? you could get burned very badly.

2002 aultma 2.5 will not crank when turning the key

Well there are several things you can check if you haven't already. I'm just starting from point a to point b to narrow things down. If you have already done a certain step, just skip and go to the next one. The first thing to check is a fuse in the fuse panel inside the vehicle (see picture's below). I marked the fuse you need to check (#12) The second thing is to see if you are geting power as the key is turned. While you are down at the starter, have someone turn the key as if to try and start the vehicle. While they are doing that, at the grey connector (I think it's grey) check with a test light at the black & white wire. You should have power there when the key is turned to start. If no power there is a relay/fuse panel that is kind of hidden. It's called (by Nissan) the IPDM/ER (intelligent Power Distribution Module/Engine Room).Below are step by step instructions on its location and how to remove it. In the last picture is a diagram of the fuse and relay layout. I have marked the starter relay as well as a fuse you will want to check. After you check the fuse, you can have somebody turn the key as if to start the vehicle. While they are doing that put your finger on the relay to see if you feel it "click" inside. If it doesn't the relay may be bad. If it does find the black and white wire coming from that harness to see if you have continuity from there to the grey connection at the starter (black & white wire) if you do check for a bad ground. If you do not find the break in that wire and repair. The only thing that I am not sure of is in the 2000's at some point the relays in the IPDM/ER were not replacable and the whole thing needed to be replaced. I'm not sure your year vehicle has this issue. I know this seems like a lot but you have to narrow down everything in order to diagnose the problem to solve it. Hope I was able to help and good luck.3_9_2012_12_06_32_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_07_07_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_07_29_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_07_43_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_07_56_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_08_07_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_08_20_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_08_33_pm.jpg3_9_2012_12_08_46_pm.jpg
